I’m going to the UP for a few days in January and I’m wondering if it’s worth taking my ATV up. Does anyone ride ATVs up there in the winter? I know all of the trails switch over to groomed snow mobile trails but what about the forest service roads and such. Are they ridable?
I just recently purchased my first wheeler at 55 yrs old. 1999 sportsman 500. if anyone lives around erie, pa and could let me know of some near by ridind areas, I would appreciate it.
RB is one of the few places we have ridden down south. I know it’s a WMA, right? Do you receive a permit, like a hunting permit or a sticker for your ride or what?
We are going to be making our first trip to hatfield mccoy trail system next weekend and were wondering where the best places to go would be? We are from NW Ohio and are used to riding Wayne National Forest Trails, We usually just camp in the trail head parking lot (which is free and allowed) Are there any lots like this around Hatfield McCoys? Which trails are best to ride? We like a little challenge but dont need crazy.. hoping to stay on the northern end of the trail system.
Looking for info from anyone who has ridden the Spearhead Trails in Southwest, VA. We are thinking about going there after Thanksgiving for a 2 day ride (Sunday/Monday). Their website is pretty vague so here are my questions;
1. Are the trail systems close or connected to each other or would we have to trailer from one trail to the next?
2. How many miles of trail are there for each system? Their website says about 30 miles but also looks like it hasn’t been updated since 2014.
3. Can anyone recommend a place to stay that has trail access close by so we don’t have to trailer to the trails?
