Best all around Mud/Trail tire?

So I picked up the 2015 renegade 1000 xxc this weekend and would like to thank the guys here that convinced me to go with the xxc! Got a good deal on it from a dealer since it was used. (130miles)

Now onto tires, I plan to keep the stock set around for pure trail riding. However we have some trails that have really good mud on them also. Which tire and size would be a good combo on this renegade?

30"s are a bit big and rub the plastic from what i have read. So how about 29"s? I’m leaning towards 28" silverbacks but would definetly like to hear your opinons.

need new tire question

2015 outlander xtp 1000
i put a one inch hole in my back tire today and need a new one. thinking of just the stock tire but have a question on sizes.
my back bead locks are 26X10X12
there are not many tires this size it seems.
looking at bear claws and zillas but they are 26X11X12
I dont want to modify or cut anything.
with that said do these tires fit my stock bead loacks even tho they are 1 inch wider? Im a little lost on tire sizes that will actually fit with no modding.
i personaly just assumed i have to stick with 26X10X12 but i dont know

2006 Outlander 800 XT tire/wheel ??

Need some tire and wheel advice.

I have a stock 2006 outlander 800XT. From my research, I was pretty sure rims were same front & rear (12×7). It has the aluminum rims. I wasn’t able (and didn’t) verify this and went ahead and ordered four Kenda Bearclaw htr’s all in 27×9.

Well, I got the tires, took them to the shop for mounting and every indication is that the front and rear rims are different by an inch or so. The stock tires were still on rims, so didn’t get exact measurements, or confirmation.

Bottom line, will it damage the machine to run the 27×9’s all around if the rims ARE different widths? Net affect will be slightly different heights, different sidewall stiffness,?? ….other con’s?

I appreciate the help.
