Got a 2010 Rene 800 the front tires are rubbing on the tie rod ends so I need to move them out some. Need to be about 10mm or so just enough to clear. The reason why is because my gate is only wide enough that I rub now so 1" or bigger will not work. Anybody have any or now where to get them? All I’m seeing is 1" and bigger. Thanks!
So, I have had my new Outy 800 for a couple of months, but most of the hours have come on camoplast tracks. Now the tires are back on, stock carlisle badlands a/r and they just don’t have a lot of appeal to me. They might be an ok tire, but I don’t know that I will ever really find out.
Tires on my short list are: Pitbull Growler in 28 inch, Grim Reaper in 27 inch,
Maxxis Big Horn in 27 inch or 28, Mud lite xl in 28 inch and Carlisle ACT HD in 26.
Most of my riding is in national forest, light mud, light snow, dirt, rocks and blm, sage brush and cactus. I don’t like flats, even though I own a tire shop.

Gang looking at some 29.5 laws for my 650 max. Maybe the 28 law, but hear I should go 29.5 not sure. Not sure which one to go with the outlaw original or outlaw 2. I would like to keep stocks rims but realize it may not be the best choice.
I will be doing say 60%mud and 40%trail hatfld wv. And 90%mud at home.
Also if there is a perfect rim based on high ratings/reviews please advise. Oh and best discounted place to buy this stuff lol
thanks gang :thumbsmilie:
So while mowing my pasture this past week I must have ran over a goathead weed. Because I noticed the next day my front tire was flat. Took it to my local Les Schuab tire store to get it patched. Well they put a plug in it instead. Is it safe ? Never had a plugged tire before .
On a side note are the Carlisle A.C.T tires that came stock on my 650XT that weak ?They only have 65 miles on them .
Thanks Allen
I’m not crazy about this look. I’m thinking the rims need to be black. If I paint them will the paint hold up? I’m okay with scratches from rocks, I just don’t want the paint to all blast off when I hit it with the pressure washer.

hey guys im looking at getting new rims and tires for my 14 outlander max 1k. I am going to go with the itp mega mayhem tires and sti hd3 wheels. For the wheels i am thinking with getting the 14×7 for front and rear and then getting the mayhems in 28x9x14 front and back. Does that sound good or would you go with 28x11x14 tires for the rear? I personally like the look of the skinnier tires on the back and then also being able to rotate. Also i want to make sure that wheel and tire combo will fit the quad without rubbing.
I have been looking in to upgrading my tires and was wondering what would fit. I have been looking at going with ITP Hurricane 14" rims and 27" ITP Mud Lite XTR’s.
Does anyone know if this will be an issue? Will I need wheel spacers or modification to the fenders?
