I discovered a small leak on the front diff seal today after a fun day of riding in really deep snow with my 2015 outlander Xmr 1000.
I think a combination of extreme cold and snow jammed in everything started the leak. It appears to be a simple fix but I need the torque specs for some bolts upon completion. Torque specs for motor mount bolts to remove half shaft and the front cup bolt that you half to remove from the diff to install the new seal.
I’m planing on replacing the wear sleeve on the diff cup while I’m at it and also upgrade the front half shaft boot to stiffen up any play in the splines as mentioned by another member that made the upgrade on his 6×6
I’m thinking about ordering the kit for my outlander L 500..eventually i want to upgrade to some bigger tires, 27", 28"…something like that….until then, I’d like to see better low ends, possibly do some wheelies. Can anyone tell me if just changing out my primary and secondary springs with Dalton industries kit will help me achieve this, or am i being unrealistic? Thanks in advance
The existing bearings inside the one way housing were toast. Or I should say they moved smoothly but resisted and they were the sealed type as well.
Just ordered replacement sealed bearings from VBX.
Regarding these sealed bearings. Is there service intervols for them similar to the OEM 100 hour isoflex-ing? Or are they good to go with no maintenance as long as they spin freely?
Also, I’ll still need to add Isoflex on the inside of the one way bearing housing as well correct? (Figuring those springs will need it).
So generally just wondering if the 2015 outlander l 500 and the 2016 outlander L 570 xmr share the same clutch setup. If so, i was planning on going with a similar tire set up. Can anyone tell me if they do or not? I tried doing a parts list search to see if the oem springs share the same serial number but haven’t been able to find anything. Any help with this would be appreciated!
I performed a leak down test. I got 60% on rear and 50% on front cylinder. Bike runs good but just smoked at full throttle. I can hear air coming from the intake on the rear cylinder and pass the piston on the front.
Is it time for a full rebuild?
I have the 2012 can-am 1000 stock bone stock and I want a LUBE that’s good for seal properties where the circle air filter meets the circle air box?
I tried a environmentally safe lube and it was crap it was very dry and chalky when I’m taking it apart and I doubt it has very good sealing properties I would think you wanted to still be moist when you pull it out but may be dirty and then you clean it off and apply new

I have a 2011 commander 800R XT. I have been blowing belts way to often. It also jerks on starting and when slowing with engine breaking. I have been using BRP and GForce belts. With standard tires and with large tires. Most often at high speeds and while powering through soft terrane. Please help. I ordered a new Red drive clutch spring for starters. Clutches are clean. Factory drive clutch spring is black with a yellow side.
I have a 2012 800 renegade that will not start what so ever. All it does is turn over. The bike is getting fuel, fire and air. I’ve checked all the fuses and they are all good. The only code that is showing up is "Check DPS" and that’s when I’m turning the bike over, but other than that there’s nothing else. Please Help!
