Wondering what people are using a couple buddies of mine have been getting hot to the point of overheating with pretty clean rads. I heard about a coolant that doesn’t break down in the extreme heat just not sure what it was.
I do know they sell "engine ice" at royal disturbing but I only know 1 person who has used it and it was in a Yamaha yz450f

So i put a new coolant sensor in and un hard wired the fan so it doesnt run all the time but when it ran all the time it tells me the battery is dying faster than its charging and now i thought putting the new sensor in would let it charge after the fan ran like normal and it cycles on when it should but when it cycles on it tells me the battery is dying faster than its charging…. what is going on?! like is it a bad battery or what?

My rear diff is leaking grease and 2 o-rings have come loose and traveled out to the left side wheel. I took the wheels off and there is a lot of play in the axle on the left side.
Is this the correct kit i will need to rebuild it?
Just picked up the above machine with 247hrs on it. So far I’ve replaced rear wheel bearings, both ball joints, front cv boot and stator. The issue I’m now having is that the awd light works, speedo works, but the awd will not engage. I’ve pulled the connector to check for 12v but it only fluctuates between 6-9v which leads me to believe I have a bad ground. If I hook 12v directly into the front diff, it still doesn’t engage. I’m about to start pulling the front diff to tear into it but was wondering if anyone knew where I should look for the bad ground(so I don’t have to run a new ground) and what else I should look for once I get the diff pulled. The input shaft is pretty sloppy so I will pick up a rebuild kit.
I have two 2001 Sportsman 500s. One (green) I purchased last fall, the second (yellow) last week. I noticed the yellow one hesitates for just a second upon giving it gas from a stand-still, and then it sort of jerks into motion, in both forward and reverse. I can hear a clicking noise when it does this. The green one has a smooth acceleration from a stop.
Is there an adjustment on the clutch or something I could look into to see if I can get the yellow one to start off smoothly? I wonder if there’s some gunk or something holding up the clutch movement and would a shot of WD40 help?
