Looking for the specs on float adjustment. I am rebuilding my carburetor on my 1999 Sportsman 500 due to gas leaking out of the overflow tube when sitting and / or when riding. I just want to check my float adjust before reassembly. Anyone have the information or know where I can find it. Thanks

Hi why does the Polaris 500 use a fuel pump the tank is higher than the carb…..just like a motorcycle so it should gravity feed ……but doesnt…… also I cant find a fuel shut off valve on this atv doesnt seem to be one.
Where is the best place to pick up a fuel pump Royal Distributing doesnt seem to carry them

I have a 2006 sportsman that my daughter turned over. When it did, the lens on the speedometer lens got broken. Speedometer itself is fine. The only part I saw in the fiche was a "bezel", so I ordered it. It did not come with a lens, which is the part I really needed!

Has anyone else found this part or how to replace just the lens?

My recently acquired 96 Explorer 300 is not running right. It had sat for some time before i got it and i have since pulled and cleaned the carb. Here is the problem… it will start and run with the choke on and rev really well, as long as the choke is on. If I turn off the choke it runs at an idle and if you just slightly give it gas it will sometimes raise the rpm but most of the time it just leads to it dying. I thought it might be a clogged needle jet or something like that? Maybe it is just something I am overlooking? Please help!!!

I have been doing a rebuild of a polaris 335 I purchased cheep a few years back. Quick question….

I am having trouble identifying the exact year/ model seeing as the serial number is no longer visible. Stickers have been removed and the serial number which is supposed to be on the frame has been "rusted away". The man I purchased it from told me it was a 2000. I recall somewhere on this forum reading the 99 and 2000 had different tire sizes. Can anyone offer me any identifying factors to differentiate between lets say a 99′, 00′, and 01′ polaris sportsman 335? Also, when I look at sites like Partzilla they seem to say there are different models to choose from for a 2000 polaris sportsman 335…

Can a bad reverse override switch keep the front AWd from engaging on a 2000 250 Xplorer? It has the hilliard clutches in each of the two front struts. The switch doesn’t seem to be limiting the revs and I have no locking of the front hubs in forward gears. Just wondering if a bad override switch can cause the front hubs not to work. Thanks for any help.

I recently told my uncle Id help repair his bike after what seems like a problem that occurred from a previous visit to the dealer. Long story short after getting his bike back from the dealer and drive it several kilometers he noticed and knocking pinging sound he returned the bike to the dealer to find his primary clutch smashed up fairly decent sheeves and spider heavily damaged. They told him a rock got through the air duct and done all the damage even though there are perfectly round indentations all over the clutch. Anyways I ordered a new clutch and transferred the weights and spring to the new clutch installed the clutch and the same belt and the secondary clutch. Now the bike is moving forward in gear when started or stalls trying to put it in gear. The secondary had 3 shims inside when he dropped it off, they were left on the shaft. I’m curious if someone could help me out here with an idea. Believe it or not this bike has only 108 Kms on the odometer. Thanks for any help you could give me guys.
