Polaris 250 Scrambler loss of power

Hi:

I’ve got a 2001 250 Scrambler that seems to be losing power once warmed up. So it will start up fine and run fine for a while and then just seem to lose power. So you hit the throttle and engine doesn’t rev. Machine loses power and then dies.

Changed the spark plug. No better.

Any thoughts?

Thanks

CV Boot banding tool

What do you call the banding tool that you use to tighten the clamp or band and where can I order a cheap one? I watched a U Tube video that said eBay but I do not know how to search for it.
The video showed using two types of banding flat and slotted. Any preference and reason?

2005 Sportsman 800 EFI u-joint cross reference?

I’ve slowly been replacing all of the normal items that wear out over time on my ’05 800 and took on the front shaft u-joints as my next project. I did some research on this and thought from the posts I read the Precision 338 was the correct part number. After picking them up today they are way too big. Does anyone have a cross reference for an automotive u-joint for these? Surely precision or some other quality maker has one that will fit which has a grease fitting. Thanks for any help you can offer.

Just purchased 300 4×4. Oil pump ?

Just bought a Polaris 300 4×4 for $100.
Complete. Motor spins freely.
Cleaned tank and carb.
Not that familiar with the 2 stroke so here’s my question.
Looks like prev owner stuck a bolt in end of those coming from oil tank and capped off line coming out of pump that the tank hose goes too.
Why would he do that?
Thanks
Before I tried to fire it up I want to make sure everything is good as far as oil goes.
