Ok guys I got the top end rebuild done and my 01 xplorer 250 runs great. Now my push button switch, headlights, fan and 4×4 button do not seem to be working. I found some cut wires under the front cowl and I have repaired those. I thought maybe it killed the sealed circuit breaker under the seat but that checks good. I guess my question is what else can check? Thanks for any help.

Now in gear it will only go like 70 km, idles around fine, revs in gear fine, but as soon as you try to floor it, its dien for power and running on one cylinder, almost seems like theres some sort of limiter or limp mode of some sort, any suggestions would be gear, took it to the dealer and no codes are comming up, anything would be a help thanks!

1:anyone have any idea what this plug is?it runs into the main harness on my 12 800 Sportsmen
2:the clutches wont disengage until about 1600 rpm and when they do its a bit hard imo,is this normal?ive never owned a Polaris before

I have a 350l 4×4 . My struts are toast. Just wondering if anyone found a cheaper way to go. I read somewhere that 90 era vw’s mite work.

Also curious if springs ever wears out on these things….thanks.

I’m installing new crank seals on a 96 xplorer 300 and I drove the one in on the stator side till it hit bottom and the crank is a bit hard to turn now. is this normal for a new seal or did I drive it in too far?

I started about this yesterday but seems to have been removed so here it goes again with a little more info!

On Monday past the other half and I were out for a ride and at about 45 kms from our truck our machine over heated. As title states its a 2013 Sportsman500 HO Touring. So when it over heated I shut it off and tried turning the key forward to run the fan to help in cooling…the fan did not come on!! So basically we were pretty much stranded. So I cut about 2 to 3 feet of the cord off my 12v tire pump and stuck 2 ends in the fan plug and plugged it in to the 12V outlet and success…the fan worked.

Got her home and figured that since the problem is not the fan then maybe the 50V relay is the problem. Got a new relay from my dealer at almost $60, put it in and still the same….overheating.

Now I need help, I don’t know what to touch next. Any suggestions are certainly welcomed!

Hey Guys and Gals, I’m new to the forum but old to Polaris. Can someone out there give me some help? I have a 1995 425 Mag 4X4. I bought it new. About 1 year ago I noticed my engine oil smelled like Gas. I took to my dealer and he replaced the petcock and rebuilt the carb. Well a few months ago I noticed it doing it again. A friend says the petcock may be bad but I didn’t think leaving the fuel on would cause that. Any suggestions?
