purchased a 2002 Sportsman 90

Hi,
First time owner and post. I just purchased my daughter a polaris 90. It runs good, smokes a little on the heavy side, even for a 2 stroke. The seller said he always premixed gas because he did not trust the oil injection system. Is there anyway to tell if the oil injection is working properly other than monitoring the level? I am going to continue premixing for now, to be on the safe side. What ratio should I mix to?

Thanks in advance for any help!

96 Xpress 300 Shock Bushings?

So about a week ago, I noticed that my rear suspension seemed really bouncy, and something just didnt seem right about it. Yesterday while I was riding, it didn’t feel like it was handing very well either. After looking at the rear end, I noticed that where the rear shock mounts to the swing arm, it looks like the bushing rotted away/broke apart/fell out, whatever. So the rear end is extremely bouncy, and wobbles around a good bit too. I’ve been looking for a part to replace it, but I can’t seem to find any parts online, and even looking at a diagram, I’m a little lost about which one I need. Here are some reference pictures.

Thats what the shock looks like, and on the left side, thats what mine looks like at the moment, just an open hole.

Now this shock is what it SHOULD look like. The left side shows the bushing that I need to replace on mine.

After a quick search, this is the part diagram I found, but I can’t seem to find the part I need.

Could someone out there who’s a little better at this than me help me find the part I need, and let me know how many I might need? Thanks!

Rear CV Axle for 2007 Sportsman 500 EFI

Hello,

I purchased an OEM rear CV axle for my 2007 Sportsman 500 EFI. The original OEM part number for the axle is 1332421. The part number has been superseded by part number 1332935 and that is the part number I purchased. However; I noticed that the diameter of the black round axle is much smaller than the original OEM axle with part number 1332421. Have anyone else noticed this? I am afraid to put the smaller diameter axle on the ATV. Any advice.

Below is a link to the OEM cv axle with part number 1332421. You can see how large the black round axle is.

Will someone describe the fuel tank vent configuration. Is there a tee that has a check valve in the line from the tank to the rear differential? Does it keep vacuum from building in the tank as the fuel is used? Thank you.
