Ive got an early 90s 350…got two..the last one i recently picked up and fiund out the oil pump cable had broke. Got a new cable and now realize the little spring is broken too. I cannot find one online. Now im also paranoid about the oil pump and wonder if i shouldnt just start pre mixing it. I seen online where people take a little gear out near the carb but im unsure why. Assume it needs to be lubricated.
I have a 15′ Scrambler 1000 with 200 miles on it. It makes a fast clicking noise in the rear on a slow acceleration and deceleration. It only dose it for about 1 sec and stops. It does not do it any other time. It has done it since it was new. I have had it at the dealer for a total of 4 weeks and they can’t find where it is coming from. They tell me that Polaris will not send any parts to try to alleviate the noise. It has had a new rear wheel bearing and half shaft installed on the left side. Any suggestions?

New to forum. Thanks. Great site. I bought a 700efi off a guy. He said all it needed was the tbap harness. Seemed to run ok. But had codes an an ocassional back fire. Take it home replace the tbap wiring. No codes now run ok. Take it for a ride. Steep uphill. Says it’s hot. Let it cool baby it home with no hot light. I wash out radiator. Seems to run ok. Then all of sudden going downhill once in awhile losses all power. Pod shutts off machine dies. Started it back up runs ok but now the fuel gauge bars on pod disappeared. Any ideas? Also left front tire bottoms out into fender once in awhile on hard bumps. 26" tires.
I had to replace my crankcase due to a piston failure on a 95 xplorer 400 4×4. I’ve already got new bearings to put in but not the gaskets. Would it be ok to make our own gaskets out of gasket material? From what I’ve read you can use silicone to seal the 2 crank halves together, so should only need the right side gasket and cylinder gasket. We just replaced the head gasket last summer and looks in good shape so should be able to reuse it. Thanks
I have a 2009 Sportsman Touring 800. After I went riding yesterday, I tried to start my ATV and I didn’t get a click, but my gauges all worked. I jumped the solenoid and it started right up. I thought the solenoid was bad and put a new one on, nothing changed. Any suggestions? Has anyone dealt with this before? I tried to start it in every gear with out any luck.
Ok….my 2012 Sportsman 850 XP EPS manual states the lug nuts should be torqued to 75 ft lbs. Last night while putting rear wheel back on I snapped a stud off while using my torque wrench set to 75. After much cursing, I got online and find out that I am not the only one who had this problem. Most also resort to torquring with 50 – 60 ft lbs. Once I replace the stud and lug nut. I am leaning towards 60 ft lbs. What do you guys torque your lugs to?
2004 Polaris Magnum 330…so i replaced the carb, fuel lines, and filter now it won’t start. Looking at the fuel filter there’s no gas even in it. Does the new carb need to be primed maybe?? I know it’s probably something simple 🙁
Whats going on guys? I just recently got a 1989 Polaris Trail Boss 250.
everything is fine with it, just everytime i go to pull start it it would start up then just idle out. so i cleaned out the carb several times, i got the necessary tools to clean out all jets and valves, i messed with the adjustments, sprayes everything inside and out really good. Again i go to start it, and it starts up but doesnt stay. so i took out the carb again and i rebuilt it, got new parts for it and everything, still doesnt work, but when i did rebuild it, i started the qaud and it stayed running for about 2 minutes this time but then i shut it off to bring it to the street to ride it out for the first time but then wouldnt start back up…
getting frustrating now, but wont give up… any suggestions?
