I’m doing a full fluid change in my 2001 325 magnum 4×4. I use mobile 1 0w40 for main engine oil but what should I use for transfer case/transmission, differential, and front hub oil? chas

So me and my friend went to go fourwheeler riding one day I started the quad it fired on first turn and ran perfect never sounded better drove it on the trailer get to the park and it would not start at all spent hours only way to get it to even back fire was to put hand over carb. I checked psi later 90 so I rebuilt top end still wouldn’t start. I replaced stator, recitifier, cdi, coil, its getting spark but still wont fire up I checked crank seals they look new no cracks no leaks no play or loose feeling and I know its pulling in gas because I will put my hand over the carb and itll try sucking in my hand. am I missing something im totally lost. please help thank you

ATV has about 30 hours on it… don’t run it much turn it on every once in a while

Problem:

I recently replaced the battery on the atv, went out riding and now it just tops at 20mph, i try to accelerate and it starts making loud popping noise.
Nothing else is wrong… 4×4 engages and disengages, turns on normal

I am pretty sure it is a simple fix.. any one had this issue before?

hey everyone not sure how this works but having a strange problem. I have a 99 trail boss 250 and it starts and runs great. it has been about a year since I had it out and now it still starts and runs but will not shut off. I have to pull plug wire to get it to stop running. any help will be great. as it is I cant ride safely or let kids ride at all. thanks in advance.

I’m trying to figure out the year of my machine. The 10th digit appears to be a W. W should be a 1998, but its a Sportsman 700 which started in 2002. The engine has a marking of 05/09/02. I’m wondering if its a 2002 or 2003, or does it matter much?

I just bought a 200x Sportsman 700. I don’t know the year exactly, I was told 2004, but I think they are fuel injected in 2004, mine is not. The oil is full of coolant. It appears the be the head gasket as the weep hole look fine near the pump.

Anyone have a service manual for a 2003 Sportsman. I’m assuming 2002 is the same and from the Polaris website there is no 2001 700.

Or if anyone can tell me what needs to be done to pull the head off.

Opened the drain plug on my Airbox after riding this past weekend and has poured out! Checked the oil and the level was fine and it smelled fine. I never noticed the overflow on the bowl dripping. Other than the float and needle is there any other way for gas to flood into the Airbox like that? I just recently rebuilt the carb so I know the needle and seat are good.

help!!! how do i use a battery tender for polaris sportsman atv.
Do i connect negative to begative and positive to positive at 12v setting or do I connectone terminal to a ground? in the manual it says determine if your charging a positive or negative something. if it’s a positive you connect the positive to the positive battery terminal and negative toi the ground. if its a negative something then connect the negative to the negative terminal and connect the positive to the ground. How do I determine this. It also states that i have to disconnect the battery from the line. Is that necessary. It’s a pain in the neck if i will be using it and have to disconnect it and reconnect it everytime I ride. Please help and thanks for future reply and tips.
