Went riding this past weekend and got some water in my transmission. Drained it bike worked great. Check engine light came on 30mins later. Ideas on what it could be? Also, is there any way I can figure out the code by turning the key a number of times, like in a car? Just don’t wanna trailer it all the way to a shop. Thank you.
Just bought my first four wheeler. Its a 1996 sportsman 400 4×4 two stroke.
Don’t have a manual for it. Noticed the chain needs tightening. Any advice on how to do it? I can usually figure this kind of stuff out but I’m not seeing how to do it. Thanks
I was just wondering what one should expect to pay to have a dealer check the valves on a 2014 570. I don’t really suspect there to be any issues, but while looking at my maintnence log it is suggested at 100hrs. My four wheeler has 130hrs on it now and seems to be running fine. Is it even really necessary? One of the guys I work with (a mechanic) said he has like 4500 miles on an older sportsman and has never had them checked. Thanks in advance for the input!!
:newbie: today I found out that my left hand warmer didn’t work …. I couldn’t wait any longer to see what it was … :hitwithrock:
time will show how long this fix will last for … so far it’s working good. Now waiting for "glue" to dry…

So my carb is leaking fuel from the overflow spout on the bottom of the carb. I can’t find how to adjust my float as I’m assuming it’s a stuck float or an issue related. Anybody have this problem before? Anybody have any ideas?
I recently purchased a 2011 Sportsman 550 EPS and the AWD doesn’t function. I went through the service manual and all the wiring and readings for resistance and voltage check out. I bypassed the switch just to see if that was the issue and it wasn’t. The indicator does not show up on the screen when the AWD is switched on. Does this usually mean the the differential is the problem?
i found a 1995 polaris sport 400l for $400 the guy says it needs a stator and and starter motor fuel line battery and a rear brake cable
is the resale value for these kinds of quads overall good and do you think i will make profit if i fix it
