I am in the process of restoring a 94 Trail Boss 2 wheel atv. I acquired it with little or no brakes. I replaced the rear pads and have a working mechanical brake.
I put brake fluid in the master cylinder. Went to bleed the rear caliper first.
It does not seem as if master cyl. pumps much. Is there supposed to be a fair amount of pressure with bleeder cracked open? I did have the rear caliper off of atv for a repair. Before removal, I had a working brake light. Now the brake does not light up when handle on master cylinder is engaged.
With a bleeder cracked open at any given location, should there be a stream of fluid being pumped out when engaging handle on master cylinder?
thanks

Recently purchased a older sportsman 500 very low miles and hours. new rider. I used it to move a small rv and belt started occassionly slapping the cover. Got new belt and had installed and slaps worse than original belt. Checked the forum for ideas and will try the scotch brite and blowing out dust if any. Only has 600 miles. Any thing else I can check? Thanks

2008 700×2 problems started with hot lite showing on a cold start up,unplugged battery neg machine ran fine ,2 days later back in the bush when machine idles but as you add throttle it completely dies, check out manual it says unplug speedo test drive machine runs but no speedo no reverse 4×4,let bike sit plug speedo back in ride for about 50 -100 yards low & high icons flashing back and forth on speedo, engine wants to die when throttling up , unplug speedo engine seems to work fine,
Ps there’s been condensation inside the sealed speedo could this be the problem or is it the Eco,both are exspensive want to buy correct item for repair

Hi there, wondering if i can get some advice? I am looking at replacing bushings and getting a new pin on my sportsman 500. Even with new gear the bolts that go into the pin still have some play, almost like the bracket has been reamed out a bit due to having too much play for too long is my assumption. So i am wondering if there is any recommended fixes for the bracket hole or any sleeves or collars that i can use or make so that if i get all new bushings and pins I dont ruin them from a sloppy hole. Any help is appreciated, thank you….
First off, I am glad for this forum and any help it can bring me. I went to get my wifes quad ready for this weekend. A 2009 800 EFI. the battery was dead so I tried to jump start it. Not even a click. I bought a new battery and installed it. Turned the key and it lite the panel for one second, then drained the battery. If I put the battery charger on it will light up the instrument panel. but will not click or turn over. I have tried to jump the solenoid and the starter and both try to rotate but not enough juice.
So I think I have a short. something is drawing all my current. Then when I hook up the battery charger the instrument panel will light up but no clicking. Am I on the right track. I am at a lost here, not sure where to go now. I got 3 days to find the issue, or no atving this 5 day weekend.
Hi I’m new here but I have a 2005 Polaris predator it was working great a friend drove it and it was fine and I go to start it and there’s no power… Battery is good and connections are tight… Where do I go from here? I can turn the key and no lights but I can hook a battery charger up and I have lights I tested the battery it tests out good it won’t start on the battery charger? What’s my next step?
