Removal of Secondary clutch on 2012 Polaris 850 xp

I suspect that one of the rollers has failed inside the secondary clutch on my bike. When I spin it, I can hear something rattling around inside and pretty sure its one of those pesky plastic roller..

So I here is my confusion…. I know that in order to take secondary off you just remove the bolt and pull it off. So how do you keep the secondary from spinning while removing this bolt? Does the drive belt have to be on to provide tension or can it be in gear when doing this? I don’t want to mess something up on the motor / tranny side taking this thing off.

Any input would be great!

2004 Trail boss 330 Heat light?

Okay i have a 2004 Trail boss 330 and after about 30ish seconds after starting it up a red light came on the indicator bored. I’m pretty sure it is an indicator for overheating. It has small waves with a thermometer looking thing in the middle. Could this be caused by a bad sensor? i could use some help on this issue thanks!

2001 325 Magnum Sputtering Problem

I have a 2001 Magnum 325 4X4 that started running real bad last year. I was sure it was a carb problem. I replaced several parts, including the diaphram that was ruined from running excess cleaner in the gas. I got the motor running real good. Recently I was pulling a heavy load in low gear at a slow speed and all the sudden lost power. I disconnected the load and was barely able to run the atv into my shop. The engine was sputtering real bad and backfired some. I took the carb off and could not find anything wrong. Put it back together and had same problem. I then bought a carb repair kit and replaced all the needles, after making sure there was no dirt or blockages in the carb. I also put on a new fuel pump and fuel filter, and completely flushed the fuel system. Put it back together, and fired up. SAME PROBLEM!!! I have also adjusted the valves (last year) and checked the compression (good). Motor starts right off. I have noticed that the diaphragm slide valve does not go up when I try to rev the motor. When I lift it the motor starts to sputter real bad. I’m pretty sure I have all the parts in the carb installed correctly, per the diagram. I can sure use some help.

Secondary Clutch questions

I have a 2012 Polaris Sportsman 850 XP. I am having issues where the belt is slapping the clutch cover. I suspect the rollers are shot on the secondary clutch per reading information based on this forum. Does anyone know if the secondary is reverse threaded and what torque should be used when reinstalling it? I am removing the clutch cover tonight to further inspect the problem but want to have my information straight before I begin the actual repair.

94 Polaris 300 2×4

Hi everyone!
I am really hoping someone can offer some help :ponder:

My son was saving his money for an ATV.
Found : 1994 Polaris 300 2×4

The ATV ran with pullstart. (we were told the battery was dead).
It worked first pull when we went to buy it. Got it home, same thing, pullstart worked first oull.
Next day, went to go for a rip, nothing….
So, we had lights, then fan, etc. Starter would ‘click’.
Decided to get a new battery. Charged and all good.
Nothing.
My uncle checked to make sure there was some spark. We replaced the spark plug. The fan, lights etc not working. No more ‘clicking’ noise.
Again, uncle checked for spark. He felt it was low so we changed the solenoid (new).
Uncle says it has fuel, compression and spark.
Finally, I checked online (thanks to whoever posts free manual!!) found a circuit breaker. So, we replaced that!

Still nothing…no power.
Any ideas of what to check into next???

Please help LOL
