I was running my 425 today went through some water
Then drove about a 1/4 mi and it starting trying
To die and run really rough. It starts…idles fine…
But when i give it gas it chokes and has no power?
And it was almost like a switch was turned? Or something
Electrical blew?
Any ideas?

only had the four wheeler a couple weeks. it runs great and is in excellent shape. I noticed that the neutral light wouldn’t always come on. but if I turned the key off and on a couple times it would work fine. well now it wont work at all. I can turn the key on and pull start it just fine. but without the neutral light coming on I have no electric start. what could be the problem? I checked all the wires around the ignition switch they look fine.
I’m looking for a new trailer. Currently I have a 12′ flat bed utility that is homemade, it’s been a great trailer. Now that my kids are starting to ride we need something bigger. Been looking at 16′ to 18′ ATV or car hauler trailers, steel weighing 1800 to 2100lbs. My only concern is being able to move this trailer for short distances with my Sportsman 700. We have a Class C Motor Home that we use to pull the trailer and a lot of the places we camp require me to drop the trailer and move it a short distance to campsite with my ATV. The weight of my current trailer is unknown but I can tell you that it’s heavy enough I can NOT lift and move it by hand, it’s a very solid over engineered trailer. When I do pull it with my Sportsman it squats it pretty good but pulls it fine.
What has been your experience with moving heavier trailers?

Has anyone used a grease injector needle to puncture the rubber boots covering the axle or tie rods sending grease directly to the connections; if so is it worth it?

Hi, I’m new to the forum and somewhat new to ATV’s. I Recently purchased a 2004 sportsman 400. It was sitting for approximately 2 years. When I got it the front brakes were not working and the pedal was slightly working. The pads seemed to be okay. Not completely worn, but due to be changed soon. The front master cylinder reservoir was empty. I cleaned it out and added fluid, then bled the brakes front and back. Everything seemed to be working well.I took it out today and they locked up. I shut the machine down and about 5 minutes later they released. The front brakes now work a little bit. Does anyone have some idea what is going on and what I can do to fix it?
