I was wondering if anyone can help me understand my options for putting tracks on my 6×6. I have a 2000 model with solid rear axles and know that Polaris made a wrap around track for this machine and I would imagine some people have made some of their own. I am not interested in the high $ mat track style tracks and just want a wrap around track. I have seen pictures of people using Argo style tracks on a google search, but have never seen the machines in person. I think you need wheel spacers no matter what style track you use. I am only "thinking" of doing this right now because I have read many negative opinions of tracks on these machines due to excessive wear and tear on the machine. I would love to head off trail in winter with some confidence, and would also like to know if the front tires could be fitted with plastic skis as long as you kept the AWD off. Any help suggestions or tips would be appreciated. Thanks, Bill
Ok so I bought a used 850 XP LE with EPS on the weekend and the owner says it’s a 2009 but I know they didn’t make this LE model in 09. So I asked him about it and he said that it was insured as a 2011. Here is a pic all stock I’ll have better pictures up when its cleaned. (all it is around here is mud and rain)
I busted my front hub assembly on my 96 300 fourtrax 2wd. I was trying to press the bearings out. I’ve been researching online and the recon hub looks like it will fit even though the recon and fourtrax hubs are different part numbers. The only difference I can tell is the 300 has a bigger collar and only 1 dust seal where as the recon has a smaller collar and 2 dust seals. Can anyone help me with this? A brand new recon hub is the same price as a used 300 hub.
I’m looking at buying a new 420 Rancher with either a foot shift or DCT transmission and solid rear axle. How durable is the DCT and longevity?
My 02 Rancher 350 foot shift has given me zero problem’s or my two other buddies that has them. Since I keep stuff for long period’s of time the transmission is my biggest concern on how long and trouble free it need’s to be.
I don’t run aggressive tire’s, the stock Dirt Hook’s was more than enough for me. We ride field road’s and hunting is what the use will be for. If we find some mud hole’s we will bail off in them and play.

I’m about to purchase a 2008 Honda Rancher TRX420FM. It has what I’m going to call a basic dash (lights only no speed or hours). Can I simply purchase an upgraded dash (LCD speed, hours, ect) and simply unplug the basic dash and replace it with an upgraded dash? Plug and play so to speak. Or would I have to change harnesses?
