Upgrading Tire Size

Alright, Kentco sold me a while ago on some maxxis bighorns. The only thing is that I don’t know if I should get the 2.0 in 24 inch because of handling. I don’t have power steering so I was wondering how it would change the handling. Anyone without PS and larger tire sizes?

polaris oil injection switch to premix?

whats up guys

I have an 89 polaris trail boss 250 2 stroke.. ive been posting a lot on here.. everyone is very handy and helping me with a lot of problems i have been having.

I wanted to explain, on my quad i have two different compartments. One is the gas tank and there is another one beside the gas tank that is for oil.. My quad takes fuel and oil in two different compartments. So, ive been researching and most say that premix is the way to go. I wanted to know how to go about switching the oil tube that goes from the compartment to the crankcase? (im not sure if thats what it goes to)

When i go to start my quad it starts up and eerything but then idles out after 3 seconds.. Ive done a rebuild on the carb and tried again before switching anything else and still didn’t work.. So i even went further and I replaced the carb with a new one.. and still doesnt work so im trying to see if maybe the quad is not getting enough oil?

would love for your feedback,

89 Polaris trail boss 250. 2 stroke

Attachment 27031

Hello, i don’t know if this picture is available to view for you guys. But it’s a picture of a Polaris trail boss 250 carburetor. There’s this black little nozzle on it.. I need a new carb for my quad and the carb I have now doesn’t have that black nozzle so I’m hesitant to getting another carb because most of them have this black nozzle. Can anyone explain to me what this black valve on there does for the quad? Would it be a problem if I used it for my quad now?

Where to find a bolt like this…?

Long story short … I’m installing a winch on a 4 wheeler and need to find a bolt just like this one except it needs to be 1/4" longer.

Sorry the pics a little out of focus due to distance. It’s a 5/16-18 3/4" bolt with a hex head that says E-G 10.9. I searched ebay using the best criteria I could and didn’t see anything similar after searching through literally the first 1000 hits.

I believe the 10.9 expresses a high strength that I’m really not that concerned about. The replacement doesn’t need to be as strong.

Anybody have a suggestion on where I can find something like this? If all else fails I can try to do the connection differently but for now I’m just looking for as close a replacement as possible.

Please start making less quality stuff!

I have a 1999 Foreman. Please ignore the Yamaha trash in the background, I didnt want it.

I live in SC and in case you live under a rock we had a little bit of rain. Drove through 2 feet of water like it wasnt even there. Had to put my feet up on the wheel wells to keep from getting soaked.

My problem is the thing just wont die. I live on our farm and I ride the HELL out of it. Im usually on it at least 3 or 4 days a week. I have literally buried the thing in mud before. Im talking the mud was seat level. We pulled it out and it just kept going. Not once have I had a problem shifting gears. Not to mention it starts on the first try every time. Doesnt matter if its 110 outside or -10.

As a guy I like buying new toys. Hell who doesnt? Honda is emasculating me! Im not allowed to buy a new ATV because the one I have runs like I bought it last week. It would be different if I had to put new parts on it cause they kept breaking but everything is stock. The only maintenance I do is send it off to the local Honda dealership to have it serviced it every year before hunting season.

In closing I would suggest sending all your stuff off to China or maybe Vietnam for production and assembly. Maybe then I can buy a new ATV every 2 years instead of driving one thats not even from this millennium.
