I recently took possession of a Polaris Ranger 800 EFI HO, there is no manual and I’d like to figure out what year it is. It does not have a parking brake and the lights work off of the ignition key if that helps, thanks

Tom Rowlands and Ed Simons’ last studio collection, Further, turned out in 2010. They discharged a live collection called Don’t Think in 2012.

In 2011, they did the soundtrack for the film Hanna. A year ago, they collaborated with Miguel and Lorde for a track off the Hunger Games: Mockingjay Pt. 1 soundtrack.

Had gopro mounted gunna splice a vid of what we ve been riding lately as far as blasting through whatever to make new trails, we only rode a few hrs saturday on some new to us ground and did alot of creek crossings to get by deadfalls and what not…kinda slacked off since only had to winch about 5xs to get thru stuff and once up a near vertical steep bank to get up and around a sticking point (lotta trust in our rope for that one in particular lol)

But fatass found a piece of creek bottom that sucked me down again…rode over it once till we were stopped, turned around and rode back thru but was a foot over and thats all it took, rear end instant dig…reverse just buries fronts. So hooked upto geerig and grabbed a few cool shots of it dredging the creek:)

This is only part i hate of creek/sand riding…mud washes out…sand churns up and gets everywhere, sunday sprayed everything off top to bottom then took tires off to regrease and seen all this still in bellypan, told wife ill start saving all this sand and make a free sandbox for her daycare kids.

Hey all. I am having a hard time finding a carburator rebuild kit for my 14 sportsman 400. Any suggestions? I’m trying to avoid the dealership outrageous costs.

Slipping in 1st and 2nd Gears

Was wondering if anyone has an opinion on my bike slipping a little in 1st and second gear. It is a 1993 Honda 300 fourtrax tha has given me no issues. It was a cold morning and I never let it warm up much. But this has never happened before. Any advice would be much appreciated. Thanks: Rick

Decided to pull all the 450’s out of the garage a couple months ago and get a pic of all of them together. Figured I’d share them here for the first time. Maybe someday I’ll get all the 250R’s, three-wheelers, and the Banshee out there too. From left to right, here’s the details of each one.

The first one on the left is my first 450R. This is a 2004. I had a deposit on this quad with my dealer before Honda ever even released pictures of their brand new 450. I was one of the very first ones sold in Ohio. Like most of my 450’s, I try to keep the mods simple and focus on suspension. This quad has a full set of Elka shocks, front and rear, a +1.5 Fischer racing swingarm, the HRC kit, a steering stabilizer, and IMS oversize tank. Some little odds and ends like fat bars and a Trail Tech 8oz. heavier flywheel to help eliminate stalling on tight woods. This was my main race quad for many years, and it shows. Like most 04-05 450R’s that have been ridden aggressively, the frame has been cracked and welded numerous times. It’s also on it’s second head, after numerous valve jobs on the original. While the bottom end has been rebuilt twice, it has never had a crank failure, and is still using the original cylinder.

The second from the left is also an ’04. This is the newest one in the collection. I purchased this one from somebody who was in need of cash and I had every intention of flipping it or parting it out. It came loaded with goodies. Elkas on the front, GT Thunder revalve on the rear with an ’06 swingarm, GT Thunder A-arms, Houser steering stem, IMS tank, Precision stabilizer, Fluidyne heavy duty radiator, Pro Armor pegs and heel guards, Hiper tech 3 wheels front and rear, GT Thunder sprocket guard and rotor skid, GT Thunder built motor, and HMF exhaust. This thing HAULS! Which is why I decided to let it stick around.

The third from the left is a 2005, which I bought used. It was my third 450. It was all stock and nearly mint when I bought it. I have some pics somewhere of when I brought it home, I was almost afraid to take it out and scuff it up! I added GT Thunder revalves front and rear with and ’06 swingarm, the HRC kit, a steering stabilizer, red IMS tank, and the OEM white plastic.

The fourth one is my 2007 450R. This was the second one I purchased and the last new quad I bought. This one has the HRC kit, GT Thunder revalves, Precision stabilizer, IMS tank, and fat bars. She’ll be getting her second complete engine rebuild this winter. It had the entire bottom end including crank and transmission replaced at the end if 2012, and now the transmission is starting to fail again. This has been my go-to quad for the last three seasons, and she takes a beating, but I have no complaints.

Aside from four races on my 250R’s last season, these four quads have taken me to 35 wins in 40 harescramble races the last two seasons, and two class championships. This winter they’ll get a going over and we try to do it all again next year. I’m sure they’ll handle it, they are Hondas.
