Eps vs non eps

Hey guys I have a 2014 sportsman 850 and I recently ran my motor with out oil and I was gonna have it rebuilt. But I came across a deal on a practically new motor for less than a rebuild. Now my question to you is the motor says it was on a non eps bike, mine has eps. So with that being said will I run into problems with the swap?

What grease to use?

I have a 2005 Sportsman 400, the only thing I think needs or has grease fittings are the two front hubs and the sliding drive shaft. Even though they call for different lubes in the manual, I was told I could use synthetic grease in both…Any suggestions. Will any synthetic grease work….I hate to spend $20 on a tube of Polaris, when I could get a tube at an automotive store for half the price.

Who has rebuilt their CV joints?

im wondering who has rebuilt their factory CV joints, my fronts are clicking sometimes and the left rear is as well, i think this may have clicked since new. The axles are fine and im not a mud rider and no boots are torn. There is a shop where i live who will rebuild all 4 for about half of what rhinos cost, its cost effective but will they be better than stock, ive never rebuilt CV’s. changed lots of u-joints though.

2001 400ex with wrong rings in it

I recently traded a 2001 Yamaha ttr225 for a 2001 400ex even. The 400ex smoked bad but I figured as long as it runs I can do the work. After taking the top end apart I found little wear and nice looking internals. The guy said it was .030 over and whole motor had been gone through but I was skeptical because I was wondering how the rings were gone if it was recent. Sure enough I looked at the piston and it had kcy on it but after measuring it found to be .025 over? I have heard that is a stock honda oversized piston. Well after taking the measurement and it coming to 85.769 I asume they put it back together with standard bore size rings. When putting the oil ring in the cylinder to check gap it fell to the bottom.
