no power to odmeter on 2004 400 sportsman

I put a new battery, solenoid, starter and bendix . last time I rode I was in a lot of water, it went down into rope starter. cleaned all that up sanded off flywheel and coil. now I am not sure if I put all the wiring back as before on the solenoid, it was slightly different than the old one. hooked + to nearest side on solenoid other side out to starter. got a grey wire in question on new solenoid which reads ground with meter. got a small white red wire in question and a and a white grey going into wiring harness. any thoughts on this one?

New 2016 Sportsman 850 SP questions

Hi all! Just got a new 2016 Sportsman 850 SP two seater!

Two questions:

1) When removing the seat to ride alone, does Polaris has a "filler" or something to replace the seat that is made for the machine? I’ve read earlier models have this, but I cannot find anything….

2) I’m a little worried about inclines with a passenger – can anyone offer any suggestions or experience on this? Last thing I want to do is tip backwards on my girlfriend. I realize much of this is "feel" and experience, but just looking for any advice.

Thanks!

Sportsman 110

I’m considering buying a Sportsman 110 for my 10 year son. I just can’t find any real reviews online or on YouTube. Does anyone have experience with these? Are they good quality ATVs for kids? I don’t want to buy one if its not solid enough for real trail rides.

Thanks in advance for any advice.

Motoalliance Viper Winches

OK so given all the buzz that has gone on lately with different members and motoalliance I can’t help but feel most of it spawned from my thread I started a few months ago sharing my experience with Motoalliance. For those who don’t know here is the short of it:

I use my winches hard. I admit that and have never hid that fact. I had two viper max winches fail, one about 3 months old and the just shy of a year old. Warranty wise I didn’t receive much support on the customer service end from motoalliance initially, and eventually I made a thread to bring it public. Peter who is the owner of motoalliance stepped in, took the reins and made it right. He got the whole story on how they failed, and after a few PM’s and emails we got it all sorted out. In the mean time some things escaladed and my original thread got out of hand and was locked.

From what I gather my customer service experience was very out of the norm. I have bought close to a dozen viper winches for machines I no longer have and for other people and they have been great, these two are the only ones I have had a real issue with where they completely failed. I now have a SuperWinch Terra 45S on my Ranger (it was on sale for $185)and it has been great so far but one Viper went on a new flatbed trailer ready for use and the other one is being saved for a future machine.

Overall seeing as how Peter stepped in and handled the situation personally in my case as well as offering me a discount on anything I need in the future he has made up for the lack of customer service I experienced.

For whatever reasons IHI is banned I hope they allow him back because even though he could be a little outspoken at times he was a good contributor of advice and ideas to this forum.
