My fourwheeler does not seem to have much power. Starts fine other than the recent dead battery. First and second give me decent power but as I am going down a road I lose speed slowly trickles off to a point. I don’t remember if it really every had alot of power when I bought it but it seems that it should have enough power to allow me(250lbs) and a 60lbs person child to ride together. I plan to do some poking around on it tomorrow but would like some things to look at or start with.

Hi so a while back my carb started leaking out of the drain hose, so I opened up the carb, sprayed the needle an stuff down return carb cleaner, an it fixed the problem. Couple weeks later, it does it again. I do the same thing with the same results. Finally I order a new needle, and seat (not realizing you can’t change the needle seat) an manage to get the old seat out, pressed a new one in, an changed my needle an put it back together. Now, if I leave my fuel turned on an shut the atv off, it slowly leaks. But it doesn’t leak if the atv is running. An at full throttle it sputters an chokes a little. Idles great tho. Any suggestions? Not really wanting to sirens 300 $ on new carb….

Just got done installing my Denali plow. First off let me say their shipping rocks!! I ordered my plow off of eBay on Saturday, and it was delivered on Wednesday. The installation was pretty straight forward, the only part that really had me cussing was installing the wear bar. The nuts are so close to the frame, you can’t get much of a turn. Other than that it was a breeze.
I know some of you are laughing at a guy in Kentucky ordering a snow plow, but we got hammered last year😃😃😃

Just bought a new 15′ sportsman 850 and was wondering what mods I should do first. Figured this would be the best place to ask since I am new to owning a Polaris. Also suggestions on anything else about these wheelers would be appreciate! I say this because it will be rode hard through everything northern Vermont has.

Ok my local Walmart has powersport batteries on clearance so I purchased a 20LBS "AGM" battery for 40 bucks as a spare battery for my wife’s RZR. Since these batteries need to have the acid poured into the cells I was wondering how long can I keep them in their unprepared state. I am going to prep the RZR for dual battery but I want to do it after the holidays.

I just bought a 200x Sportsman 700. I don’t know the year exactly, I was told 2004, but I think they are fuel injected in 2004, mine is not. The oil is full of coolant. It appears the be the head gasket as the weep hole look fine near the pump.

Anyone have a service manual for a 2003 Sportsman. I’m assuming 2002 is the same and from the Polaris website there is no 2001 700.

Or if anyone can tell me what needs to be done to pull the head off.

Earlier today I went to a forestry supply place to help someone pick out a zero turn mower. They also sold Polaris ATVs, which the guy was pushing on me pretty hard. I told him I already had a Honda 500 to which he replied "Hondas are alright but the technology is a little outdated"

So I asked him, already knowing the answer "What kind of drive do all of these brand new Polarises have on them?"

Oh the audible chuckle I had when he had to stammer and say "Th-they’re belt driven"

I bought a Polaris plow rope used it all last year on the last storm my winch wouldn’t lift plow . After looking at the winch I found the rope pulled out of the hole in the winch striping all the plastic covering off. So just put the cable back on for the summer . Now I would like to reinstall for plowing because the angle of the plow destroys my cable . My thought was to just melt the end and try to squeeze it into the hole on my Polaris 2500 winch and tighten the Allen screw ( sound way easier than it is ) . Does anyone have a trick for this ? Before the swaring and atv death threats start .
