Hi, we have a 2011 Rancher TRX450FPA 4WD. When it last used it about 2 weeks ago the display panel worked fine and showed-speed/mileage/neutral-reverse-drive-1,2,3,4,5, etc. Yesterday when we went riding, the only thing working was the neutral light. It ran fine no problems except it would not work in automatic only ESP. Checked, no fuses blown and connections ‘appeared’ to be good. Any advice on our next step? Thank you so much

I have been having issues With my electric shift so I took the control motor off and inspected it and there was motor oil in it so seal must of let go? Has anyone heard of this before? And if so what would my next move be.i appreciate any help.

POLARIS PINT GLASS

Whats up guys…figured i’d post this here to get more traffic.

My 400ex seems to be ticking, so i was under the assumption it was the valves out of spec. Thought of just bringing it in to get worked on, but shop rates are between $90-$120 an hour here which is ridiculous.

I did some research and some say it could be the timing chain tensioner? I have auto experience and when tensioners go bad, the timing chain will rattle or tap in the same fashion. I figured I could replace it myself, but I don’t really want to tear the whole motor down. There is no smoke and from what I can tell, no loss of power or stalling (timing is still intact)

I’m going to tackle the valve adjustment and replace the cam chain tensioner myself but I can’t find too much information on a step-by-step on how to replace the tensioner.

this is how it is positioned on the outside of the motor on the 400ex:

my question is, can you simply unbolt it from the motor and pop the new one in? Obviously draining the oil first.

Any input is greatly appreciated! need to get her ready for some snowy street riding :icon_ devil::icon_ devil:

Hello – I have a chance to buy a 2000 Honda Recon 250 off of my father in law for $400. It supposedly runs, he said that the guy that he bought it off of drove it up onto the trailer. I have it at my house and I’ve been contemplating if I should buy it or not. I haven’t been able to start it so far though, I think my father in law flooded it, but I think that today is the day that I get it started. It has a lot of rust on the front portion of the frame and suspension, mainly surface rust, nothing is rusted through. It also feels like the front and rear brakes are out. Is it worth buying at $400? I’m thinking that I would end up putting another $200 into it to get it looking and running good. Is $600 a good price for one of these?

Just finished installing the super atv lkpfez 2 inch front lift on my ETX and I couldn’t be happier! This machine should have had this front end hight stock. No more drastic slope just perfect. I just wish they could make the access to the top of the strut easier.

want to re-spool my badlands 3500 with some syn line and crushproof thimble, anyone got a lead where to look, 3/16 galv on it now and broke, any exp with the ‘Devil’s Hair’ syn line ? any better ?
