uniplow in one box

Hello all,
I’m in Wisconsin and need to get a plow for my 06 sportsman 800. Someone close to my area is selling a never used Uni-Plow in one box system. Does anyone have this system? How do you like it?

Thank you all!

question about buying: same price Ace 570 vs sportsman 570 eps?

I am currently looking at the sales in my area and both machine sells around 8k and I am curious about jumping to an Ace for riding comfort and back support on long ride.

My question is what is the riding comfort of the sportsman EPS vs the base Ace?

Suspension wise, any rocking back and forth with the Ace? How is the feedback on the base model? If I ride down a gravel road do I get a constant vibration in the steering weel coming from the front weels going over the gravel?

I know the EPS sportsman will be quite smooth handlebar wise.

And final question is the SP trim with updated front end better than the EPS sportsman?

Thanks

Sportsman 700 transmission question

Hey everyone, I got a question.

I just purchased a 2005 Sportsman 700 EFI, and I am changing all the fluids on it.
Well I drained the transmission oil, and noticed that the drain plug is all shiny as if something’s been rubbing it. So I looked up the hole and then poked my finger up, and there is a chain that is very loose and is obviously the cause of my shiny drain plug.
What is this chain for?
Is it supposed to be loose?

I’d love to hear from anyone who has some thoughts!

2016-sportsman-xp-1000-highlifter

Hi guys, after years of many other forms of off road motor and on road motor sports I finally found an atv that I felt had enough going on right from the factory that I bought one, a 2016-Sportsman-XP-1000-Highlifter.

Day after I got it the temperatures dropped and then it snowed, and not being a kid anymore I don’t feel like suffering to ride, so I’ll have to wait for better weather to test it and therefore I don’t have any woods time on the machine, but there is one major thing that kind of concerns me. I bought the 1000 for playing in the woods, down in Arkansas mostly, on a very hilly rocky piece of property I own off the Buffalo River wilderness area. While I’m sure I will see mud, finding a trough full of water and strait linning it with the front wheels in the air is not what I’m interesting in. I’m more interested in crawling around in areas too tight for a 4×4 buggy. I’ll have to build up another set of wheels with better all around tires, and I’m fine with that, but one thing that is really bothering me and started me thinking maybe I made a mistake in getting a Highlifter, is riding around in my shop the turning radius is ridiculous. I could turn my suv sharper than the atv. The manual states that the turning radius for he Highlifter is 168" and 84" for the regular Sportsman xp 1000. Plus the Highlifter has less suspension travel and no engine braking. Could that be right that the Highlifter takes twice the real-estate to make a turn? Or is that a typo in the manual? Also why reduce the suspension travel and do away with the the ADC button? They say the Highlifter also weighs 207lbs more. Winch, bumpers, snorkel, tires? 207lbs seems like a lot of extra weight.

This isn’t really like me, I usually research the crap out something before I buy anything. I really went out to the dealer to just look at one, but the bling factor got the better of me and I hauled one home. I hope I didn’t screw up.

A few ?s before I buy a Rubicon

Fixing to buy a trx500fa6 but wish it came in green! Is there any reason to buy a 2016 Rubicon when I can get a 2015 cheaper? Were there any issues that had to be worked out from the 2015’s that may be resolved or fixed in a 2016? Is a rear brush guard a good investment? What about a skid plate? I would not be riding over big rocks but would like keeping junk out of the bottom of the unit as I ride on trails, sticks, etc and through shallow water such as creeks and puddles. I also would like a winch. Is that something I can put on myself and where would the mount/controls for it be mounted most likely if I were to do that? Where do most people buy accessories? Amazon?
