What weight oil did my dealer put in my new Rancher?

I was looking at the owners manual and it specified several weights of oil that were acceptable depending on temperature extremes. Does anyone know what weight oil the dealership would have used when they got my quad ready for me to pick up? I’m thinking of running Amsoil 10-40 in it when it comes time for my first scheduled maintenance.

i have 29.5 outlaw 2s S/W im trying to use my stock wheels since its the pearl white edition there black nice enough for now.

Front Tires
26 x 8-14; PXT 6 Ply Radial
Rear Tires
26 x 11-14; PXT 6 Ply Radial
Wheels
LE Cast Aluminum

Thats the size will the outlaw 2s fit good on thoughs wheels??

Help with hooking up an electrical accessory

I bought a pull behind sprayer to use with my 15 Rancher and I’m wondering the best and easiest way to hook it up to get current to the pump. It comes with the wire leads with alligator clips but routing them to the battery is a pain. I had to run them along the back of the seat and under a black piece of plastic that pulls off to expose the battery posts. It wasn’t bad but am I missing an easier way?

Another QSC Clutch Kit Question…

I just installed my QSC Clutch Kit and don’t get me wrong I love the performance but I have been doing some thinking. I installed the thinner spacer, (1800 rpm engagement) but this is were my question comes into play. All the talk about the primary being balanced, but when you install the spacer it’s not a great fit it is lose and goes more toward one side when you install the new spring, will that not affect the balance? Also I the secondary balanced? I can see where it was dilled as if they done it to remove weight. Thanks,

No 4 wheel drive on 2004 sportsman 700

Hi, I have a 2004 Polaris sportsman 700 and I noticed that the four-wheel-drive was intermittent. I raise the machine off the ground and gently gave it a little bit Of gas in 4×4. Once in a while the front wheels would spin slightly and then stop. I Took apart the 4 x 4 switch and make sure the contacts were clean which they were and that made no difference. Also want to mention that my digital display is gone a lot of the time and comes back once in a while. Not sure if anyone has good advice for me. It seems it really doesn’t Go in 4 wheel drive anymore. I noticed the shaft coming from the transmission goes into the front differential which then connects to both left and right drive shafts. I don’t know if the four-wheel-drive Connects inside the differential or at the front wheel themselves. I do see two wires coming down that go inside the front differential. Thank you

New to the Forum!

I’m a new member to the forum. Just picked up a Polaris Sportsman 335 for $1400 with about 3,000 miles. Got it home, rode it for a while and noticed there was a light smoke coming from the engine somewhere. Got down and looked and couldn’t tell where it was coming from. Has a weird smell, doesn’t smell like burning rubber or oil burning. My engine temperature light didn’t come on either. I contacted the original owner and he said it leaks oil from the valve cover onto the exhaust pipe which I don’t know if he is right (thinking why didn’t he tell me this when I was there). Also, if anyone knows what fluids I need to do a tune-up on the machine and what the tune-up should include.

Sold the 400

Well, I sold my machine over the weekend. Been contemplating it for a while and decided that if I could get top-dollar for it, I’d be willing to let it go. Well, I did. Sold it for $4400. Not too bad, right, for a 2012 w/ 110 hours & 1100 miles. It was a combination of me having got the riding out of my system for a while, lack of new or interesting riding areas, needed a new trailer but was reluctant to spend the $ on it, and I just got married so I wanted to consolidate hobbies a bit and put some money back into the bank.

I’ll miss the machine and the riding, but look forward to the possibility of a new machine in the future when the time is right, to the tune of a 570 EPS or an 850. When that time comes, I’ll be back on the forum for sure.
