Polaris Swapped ATV?

I learned last week from Partzilla that my 2006 Polaris VIN number indicates that it is a 500 EF, but the motor cowling displays "500 H.O." The ATV is mostly garaged kept since I purchased new in 7/07. It has less than 200 hrs on it and all the plastic or ABS suspension bushings have disentigrated or are about to. I have ordered new ones. None of the snap on engine shrouds stayed on their clip holders so I had to reinforced via duct tape. I am fat so I thought that it was just my weight causing issues. Now, I am wondering if the dealer put this ATV together with spare cowling parts that were not a perfect match. Perhaps this ATV’s cowling was damaged before ever being sold, perhaps by accident, and the owner put a "500 HO" on it believing that I would never question it. This unit is 8 years old and motor runs well and shifts well but the other parts: bushing, cowling are falling apart.

electric starter problems…

Hey everyone, I hear this is the place to come for Honda discussions. Ive got an ’84 atc 125m. It was starting fine till after one winter, the starter solenoid would just buzz, so I thought it was shot so I replaced it. Well the new solenoid is doing the same thing. So I’m wondering what exactly does the CDI box igniter do? And the 12 volt regulator/rectifier? The battery is well charged and it starts if I pull start it. I’m just trying to figure this out, any thing helps, Thanks, Ryan.

My 2014 Rancher build so far

So far this is what I’ve done. Plan on doing a BIG gear reduction and some outlaw 2 29.5’s. As of
Right now it gets through just about anything unless the mud hole is too deep

$.99 Ebay Auctions for Motoalliance Products

Hey Gang,

We are running our monthly $.99 auctions on Ebay. They are very popular and you can often get solid discounts this way. You’ll see other inexpensive products on auction here too.

moto-alliance | eBay

The auctions are mostly for our SIRIUS and SIRIUS PRO lights as well as our IMPACT IMPLEMENTS.

SIRIUS STANDARD
Our SIRIUS line of lights competes with the ultra-cheap Chinese stuff on Ebay. China vendors have set up warehouses in the USA and are shipping direct to customers. There seems no customer service and quality control would be dicey at best on these. But they are cheap. Our SIRIUS line is a bit more expensive, but we are doing all the R&D and working directly in manufacturing these.

SIRIUS PRO
The SIRIUS PRO line is second-to-none in the industry (I’m biased of course). But we’ve had report after report of them performing as well or better than RIGID or VISION X and the other top end brands. Our engineer has automotive patents and knows what he’s doing on these. You can get them for 50% less than RIGID — even on a retail basis, but less an auction.

IMPACT IMPLEMENTS
Our IMPACT IMPLEMENTS are awesome for acreage, food plots, land prep, etc. They are sold in mass volume through Cabela’s, Acme Tool, and Sportsman Guide as well.

Check out all the specs in the listings. Enjoy!

Ride time

I have a question after a lot of riding this weekend. On a state trail type setting, what is the average time/miles do you ride? If you include stopping for lunch its that too. My brother and I rode this weekend with our cousin and I feel we were on it WAY TOO LONG. I will let you know how many miles and hours after a few reply to this.

A-arm shafts

Just wondering.

Polaris part # 5134882 (SHAFT-A-ARM,SHORT)

This is just a piece of steel tube. My X2 has 14 of them and the dealer here wants $25 each.

Im fortunate enough to own a lathe ,I can cut my own out of shaft stock and case harden them my self,

Has anyone else tried , or have someone in a group to do the same.

Its not a bad rain day project just to make a few extra’s

What about other consumable parts do you make for your ride.?
