2016’s…who has inside info???

Okay….end of July is coming and i am looking for an upgrade to the 1000 sportsman…anyone out there with inside info of a hp upgrade to the 2016’s????i am gonna wait but i know lots of other people are wondering the same thing??can am has bumped up there hp to 89…and its alot lighter with no exhaust heat issues….anyone out there???????????

needing advice on which model

My Polaris 500 HO is 14 yrs old. It’s main purpose is my workhorse. I’m thinking of going newer but too many models to chose from. I don’t do high speeds, usually 20sh because of the terrain. I’m sure if my machine was newer it would be more powerful altho what it gives me is adequate. If I shop for 2012 or newer what do you all recommend?

Dodge RAMBOX and 850xp

Im looking at getting a new truck, i love the rambox idea for lockable storage, it would be perfect for me, im just worried about the room it takes away from the box of the truck, im away at work right now and cant measure the quad or go see a dealership, i have stock rims and pitbull tires, im thinking it will be a tight fit, anyone have the ram box and put their ATV in the back without issues?

lights mounted on winch

i sold the brush guard because i couldnt fit my winch with the brush guard on. i saw a mount online for mounting lights to the hawse fairlead on a large warn winch. i thought it was a good idea but i have a superwinch terra 35 with the roller fairlead and was wondering if any company made one.
i search and couldnt find anything but maybe i didnt look hard enough.

Do the newer ATV engines all have the same mounts and mounting positions?

Wondering how feasible it would be to swap engines/transmissions across recent-era Honda ATVs… like swapping in a Honda Rubicon/Hondamatic into a Rancher 420 AT chassis, or a Rincon. Anyone know how readily these will interchange? If there aren’t major differences in mount positions and clearances, it might be an interesting project. If there are… fuggetaboudit.

420 check engine/temp

I have a 2013 Honda 420 Es and go to the creek often Today when I started it it started then the second it turned over the check engine light and temp light came on real quick and it idled high then returned to normal a second later Then I was riding and the two lights came on and it started to sorta sputter and went to normal. Then it shut off 30 minutes later in the woods with those lights on. Turned it off and it did it when I started about 30 minutes later. No leaks good coolant level oil is right. I don’t know what it’s doing. And when I flip the key on the neutral light kicks on a little before the rest of the gauges do. Thanks in advanced

I had an accident Saturday night on my 420, learned that sometimes it’s better to just try to go through the mud hole. Tried to go around the hole on the high side and it was a little too much and rolled over on its side. Luckily no one was hurt more than just being a little sore, I was only going about 1-2 mph when it went over. However the IRS ranchers are heavy, with 2 grown men it was everything we could do to roll it back on its wheels. I’m pretty sure that’s where most of my soreness came from, only thing I messed up was one of my speakers though so not too bad overall.
