So when you change out a boot and you’re reinserting the axle back into the transfer case, would you coat the splines with grease, anti-seize, or nothing at all, and why?

Also, why wouldn’t you choose either of the other two options?

Was the difference always only $1,000, or was it more when Polaris first started to offer it.
Checking out the 2016 570’s, $1,000 more for EPS. Glad they have more colour choices too.

My stepson and I bought new 570s in March this year.
Long story short, the key got left on my stepsons machine for several days.
The battery was dead and we put a charger on it.
The battery will not hold a charge. We can start it with a jump start, and it will run fine, but as soon as you remove the jump cables, the machine dies.
Shouldn’t the alternator/generator keep it running?

We let it idle for about 20 minutes with the jumper hooked up. Again, as soon as it’s removed, the machine dies.
I called our local dealer and the bottom line is they won’t cover it because we left the key on.

I understand that it is technically user error, and that is why they won’t cover it. However, I have had motorcycles, other atvs, lawn mowers, cars, etc..where batteries that were older and have even froze in the winter – all took a charge and worked again. Just seems odd the battery would be useless from one draining.

Anyone have a good explanation for this?

I have a 1999 Polaris 425 that I thought the ignition switch was bad since it did not kill the engine when turned off and I had to choke the engine until it died. I replaced the switch with a brand new one yesterday and it worked a few times then quit working and acted just like the old one. Any suggestions? Thanks
