My new/used bass boat
Sure I would have fun with a big 21ft. modern bass rig with 225hp, but in reality I don’t need it or can afford it,,,lol!
I found an original condition package built deal ProCraft 165 Pro Yr.2005 for a good price and in good condition. Believe me I looked at allot of junk that people wanted 5k for that wasn’t worth 2k! just like the atv world. It’s rated for up to 90hp, but it has the package deal 50hp Mercury is all. But its good enough for me. Should run mid 30’s plus depending on weight.
I’ve been working on getting back into the bass circuit for the last year or so now, and this will work for the local level bass clubs. Hopefully I can qualify for a FLW event like I did back in the 90’s. Back then it was the Redman circuit that i qualified for as an amateur though, (I fished in the back of a pro’s boat)and I did very well with it….paid off my first home from doing that stuff…but I’m just keeping fun in mind for me and the boy and some local competition and see how it goes. Not as young as I once was, and with back and hip surgeries in the past. 8hr. fishing days for 3 days straight..And keeping your focus takes allot of commitment,,,,but I’m not dead yet so I will give it another go at almost 50yrs old..its been almost 20yrs. since I competed and owned my Bass Pro shops,,,,man time flies!!
It runs like new and was well taken care of. Needs a couple of little things, and a real good clean up as I’m picky about those things,,but at least it was garage kept and washed. I gotta polish up those wheels, and trailer, and boat. And replace a couple seats with my preferred fishing seats,,although i used to just stand,,lol!
Well here is one pic, and a couple of pics of me and the boy out doing some fishing in our little tin boat that I built last week. I will hate to see the little boat go as we had allot of fun in it, but its to the point I can only run it alone. My little boy isn’t so little anymore at 250lbs. and me at 200lbs.,,the poor little boat is gonna sink,,,,lol!

cement blocks???’s
and need to get some 8 "x 8 x"16 " cement blocks
does anyone know how many blocks on average come on each row of a pallet?
I’m too lazy to try and figure it out right now, SO? anyone work with block often enough to know??
I can only fit so many in my truck due to my cap, so trying to figure out how many I can get in it at a time?
Thanks
Thanks to all! I jumped ship for something different.
First was a thread about the timing gear slipping on many of these. That was an issue that really freaked me out considering how remote I ride (often alone). Reliability is paramount and there has just been too many quality issues to read about. I know every manufacture has its issues. No need to argue, I’m not brand loyal. I’m very active on multiple forums and this one shows significant reasons for concern over others.
Secondly, I have been desiring a dirt bike. I started riding on three wheelers then on to four wheelers. I owned one dirt bike for a brief period is all. With over two decades of riding I don’t feel very challenged anymore. A modern two wheeler will definitely be a lot to learn in every form from riding style to mechanics and modding.
I went in today and picked up a 2015 Yamaha WR450F that I will be converting to street legal for dual sport riding. It will remain very trail specific in its mods though.
Once again thanks to all and best wishes! I will likely check in occasionally as this is a great forum and I still enjoy its members and topics. Who knows maybe I’ll buy another Polaris down the road. LOL

Legal question about Unions ???
My companies union with my promotion told us from the get go hey you guys are on probation and you have to pass all your classes and exams ok cool. Now you have to give us $xxx check for initiation now here is funny part. My company has different unions based on what your job is. My last union at same company we were told unions must have you sign paper acknowledging that u pay a due every month out of ur check and u must pay initiation fee before you can be union member. If you don’t u can’t work here. Ok no prob. Without signing any papers saying we are in this Union Our first checks had union dues deducted without our authorization and we have not paid our initiation fees yet either. Last week the union rep came in to our class and said if u don’t have ur initiation by next week. We must escort you off property. Lmao. Also we were told they can’t represent us til we are out of class which is beginning of August but we must still pay them.
I wanted to know if this is actually legal Just curious. I don’t plan on taking legal action at all. Sounds to me like extortion. Lol.
Check Engine Lights – Hack
Most check engine lights are due to a vacuum issue which is probably related to a loose gas cap or a defective cap.
The one thing I wanted to point out is you can clear the code without an OBD device by just disconnecting the negative terminal on your battery. Then turn your key to the on position and let it sit for 10 minutes.
By turning the key to the on position it will discharge any capacitor that may hold enough charge to hold the code even with the battery disconnected.
After 10 minutes replace the negative battery cable and Viola your light should be out.
If you replace or tighten your gas cap and the check engine light returns you may have another issue that an OBD reader can point you in the right direction.
Most auto parts stores will no longer clear a code with the reader so I wanted to provide a cheat if you didn’t already know that method.
One of the most confounded issues I ever had was I couldn’t put gas in my truck without the auto shutoff on the pump engaging. It would literally take me 30 minutes to fill the tank. Ended up being a evaporative purge something or another on the tank that was bad. I replaced and it fixed the problem.
Check engine lights can be annoying and sometimes they come on after a car wash or an engine cleaning (something benign) so now you know how to clear it. If it comes back you might have a bigger issue.
My o2 sensors before the converter also caused a code so I had to replace those before I could keep the light off.
An OBD reader is on my Christmas list this year!
