Carb overflow on Foreman 400

Picked up a 96 Foreman 400 from a family member for $0. It was tuned up 3 years ago, parked in the garage, and sat ever since.

So when I got it I checked the tank and it was clean and dry. Decided to put some fresh gas in it, got it to start right up surprisingly, but would only run on choke and die when I got on the throttle.

So I bought a carb kit and put that in, cleaned all orifices. Carb kit I got had a new needle but not a new seat. The old seat looks pressed in but it looked clean from what I could see. There was some gunk in the main jet when I opened it.

Got it all back together and on the bike. Fired right up and ran like normal. Good sign. But after we shut it down, gas was pouring out of the overflow tube.

So I suppose the tank screen could have been bad but I never checked it cause tank looked clean, so I just ordered one now, and maybe more gunk got in between the needle and seat? Hoping that’s the problem. But if that doesn’t do it, is there a way to replace the seat, or has anyone else here had same problem on their Foreman 400?
