Sold the Rhino last week and am looking at purchasing an XP 900 from my friend in Nevada, I live in California.
I looked at the "red" vs "green" sticker rules and there is no "3" or "C" in the eighth digit of the VIN so this means green sticker according to their literature. I even called DMV to confirm this….which they did. HOWEVER I don’t trust this state or person on the phone. I don’t want there to be some magical sticker located on the air intake or anywhere on the vehicle saying CARB approved, then not getting the green sticker because it’s not "legal" here even though the VIN says it is.
Has anyone successfully registered a used out of state UTV here in California and received a green sticker? Or red for that matter?
