OK, probably a really dumb question but I have now replaced the O-rings in the billet intake and carefully re-installed all the parts I had to remove to get to those O-rings and the motor will not make boost in the garage. Although the O-rings that I removed had some wear, I am now not sure they were the problem. I have run it up to 3000 rpm and no boost. I have used a separate mechanical boost gauge to confirm. Should I see boost develop?
I have checked and rechecked connections. Exhaust headers show zero signs of any leaks at the motor all the way up to the turbo flange. The turbo itself spins freely although it did have a puddle of oil in the intake side just after the compressor wheel and the inside of the intercooler had oil residue throughout. Compression checks at 131# and 121#. The wastegate actuator arm was removed and the gate moves freely and you can hear it hit the stops. When attached, the arm holds the gate closed, although I have not inspected from the inside. Motor has 34 hours and RZR has 541 miles.
