I’ve got about 5 hours on my 2016 570… boy you guys weren’t lying about the noisy drivetrain!
This thing is brand new, and has all kinds of crazy noises going on down below. The exhaust heat IS INDEED hot as shit (with proper riding gear polaris!!)
My question is whether or not a clutch kit resolves any of what sounds like clutch engagement/disengagement clanking, or U joint slop? This is super apparent when the EBS engages… Or any time you’re on and off the throttle. Even in low through the rocky/tight stuff, it clanks and slaps, and makes for a rough forward motion with a passenger that’s for sure.
While I do love the power steering, I could totally do away with the EBS. Quite annoying really. On rocky gravel surfaces, it literally locks the rear wheels up if you accidentally let out of the throttle too much when coming to a stop.
Overall the suspension and ride quality on trails is great. In fact, while I love the reliability of the Honda’s, they don’t ride this nice/smooth on a lot of the bumps… Not to mention I doubt you’re going to get 44 HP for $6k anywhere else, and the acceleration is pretty good compared to other utility bikes I’ve ridden. (of course not quite like my sport quads though)
Anyhow, I searched the forum and found tons of threads that go way in depth about these issues and noises, but there isn’t really a clear concise method or process of elimination to get these worked out.
Has anyone seen several owners successfully fix any of these using the same clutch kit by chance? Or something similar maybe I haven’t come across?
Much thanks for any help or opinions you can throw in here!
P.S. – I’ve never in my life had a brand new atv squeak in the front end as much as this one. Barely ridden… sounds like a two year old 450R beat to hell and back. Saw the thread about greasing the lower control arm bushings and turning the shaft… Going to try that, but man we shouldn’t have to do this stuff on a brand new bike!
