Best of Both Worlds

Have been doing a lot of reading in the XMR forum, have decided to go with the best of both worlds for XMR style ATVing. (Thanks for all the info by the way):th_smiliedance:
Ordered a standard 2016 XMR 1000R, for March 30th delivery (Cannot impact my snowmobile addiction):th_smiliethumbsup:, but also ordered a set of Rock tires (evolutions) on 14 inch rims separate. I ride a whole bunch of different areas, stretching from Northern Canada to West Virginia. I like the clearance the XMR provides, I realize being higher it might be a tad unstable but am willing to live with it. The longer frame has a better climbing/ stability, ratio in my opinion. I ride with a friend who has a 2013 XMR with the air compressor, He can make it dance even with the 30 inch gorillas, just very unstable on rocks. My plan is to just put on the tires that suit the riding conditions. Cost for extra tires and mag rims was around $1400.00
On my old 2008xtmax, the max frame was a bit of a pain , took away from the clearance when rock crawling, on my 2012 XT didn’t bang rocks as much but still hit the odd back bone crunchers once in a while, I am hoping the extra 2-3 inches clearance and better shocks on the XMR will help.:thumbsmilie:
