Battery Died – Can’t seem to get it to hold a charge

I had my Quest 650 buried in the woods and hitched to my Log Arch holding a nice long Oak log when I got a call on my cell. In my haste, I left it there and walked out to attend to something, and left the ignition switch in the on position. More than one thing came up, I didn’t get back to the woods for a couple hours – and the battery was dead. Couldn’t get any of my other equip in there to jump it, so I borrowed a portable jump pack from a friend, and started it no problem. Finished up the day and parked my ATV in my shed. Next day when I went to start it again, it was dead again. Jumped it with the portable pack, then rolled into my garage where I have electric and put my charger on it at 2 Amp setting for about 6 hours. Started great, and started the next several times I needed it. Then it sat for about a week and it was dead again.

I had never had a problem with this battery before, including single digit mornings in the past 5 winters. So here are a few questions:

Do I need to charge it at 2 Amp longer, like over night?
Or, should I use the higher 10 Amp setting on my charger?
I guess I learned the charging system on this ATV is not up to recharging this battery in the short driving cycles I operat at.
It doesn’t look like I have access to add distilled water to the cells, and I can’t see the level in them as is.
Did I kill this battery for evermore?

And advice will be welcome, including telling me to give up and buy a new battery. I really am mostly impatient with this kind of problem, but would prefer to resurrect this one if possible.

In the mean time, I bought a portable jump pack that will save me from future borrowing requirements. It has worked fine on a camping trip over Father’s Day weekend with my son.

Thanks
