Battery Booster for emergencies?

Okay, I know a lot of folks carry a spare tire just in case on long solo trips, I’ve always been able to throw enough plugs in a tire to get it to hold air at least long enough to get back out, but I am still considering carrying a spare.

What I’m curious about is if you get 8 miles back in on an ATV trail, what if the temperature turns cold and you are stuck back there with a dead battery? Do you guys carry jumper cables and just hope someone passes by? Does anyone carry one of those battery booster/air compressor type contraptions?

My battery is pretty new and I assume that it will start fine if it gets cold, but no real way to test it’s cold starting ability here in Texas.

I’ll be hauling it to Montana in a couple weeks for hunting and I would hate to get back to the Rzr after a few days back in the deep stuff only to find that it won’t start.

Any thoughts?

Thanks, Nathan
