Bad experience with Gravity Motorsports

The work completed for my insurance was sub standard, with bolts being loose, not long enough to go through the locking feature on the nut, brake lines and wiring harness wrapped around the drive line, and modifications to my car without even asking if it was okay. My new cage built by Dean at Gravity has re-used the stock B-pillar and stock bungs. The bungs were cut off my stock cage and re-used. I was under the impression the entire cage would be new, not re-using the old parts from my old cage. I asked for two whip mounts and only got one, when I asked about this I was told I would need to buy a bolt on mount and use that. Customer service is poor and phone call stop being answered once money is in hand. I do not recommend Gravity Motorsports. Dean was quick to answer calls before the insurance check came, and extremely hard to get a hold of afterward. I noticed when calling from other phone numbers I could get a hold of him, but not with my phone. My XP4 1K was at Gravity Motorsports for over 3 months, when I initially asked for an estimate I was told about a month after the check arrived. When the repairs took longer I asked for new estimates and was told it would be done when it is done. Every item that needed to be purchased for the RZR seemed to take forever, and when calling other shops and looking into ordering the parts myself the delivery times quoted were much shorter then what it took Gravity. The following is a list of discrepancies I found with the work competed.

-Cage that was built has the stock B-Pillar seam welded into it, and all the stock bungs re-used after wrecking.
– Cage came with one whip mount, I asked for 2.
-Multiple bolts are not long enough to even go through the locking feature on the nuts, Shorted bolts; A-Arm, Tie rod to spindle bolt, shock, sway bar, and steering box. My tie rod adjustment nut was loose on the passenger side.
– 2 ball joints were not properly installed with the snap ring seated. One ball joint popped out of the cup on the first ride
– Shifter linkage was loose
– Metal coolant lines that run under the RZR were rubbing on metal bracket in rear.
– Engine wiring harness and brake line routed to lay against the drive shaft.
– none of the wiring harnesses are zip tied or routed anywhere close to factory, most were just laying loose
– Multiple large scratches in new paint on cage, and new body parts that were installed
– Both front axles were supposed to be replaced with Rhino brand axles but only 1 was replaced with an OEM axle.
– Multiple missing body part bolts, skid plate bolts, and plastic snap rivets.
– UTV Inc Skid plate was cut, along with new frame to accommodate Racer Techs gusset kit, which was supposed to be installed but was not due to difficulties on installation, which when I dropped the car off I was told that it would not be a problem.
– There are more but I think everyone gets the gist

When notifying Dean of the issue he did say he wished I never took the RZR home in that condition, which if I had known it had that many issue I may not have, but I didn’t realize until I got it home all the issues the RZR had. Plus while talking to the technician when loading my RZR up he mentioned how Dean was never around, which bothered him because he always had questions during the repairs and how many of the repairs were a first for him. So knowing that the technician was a novice, and Dean had him doing all the work, it was not likely I would be willing to let him have another go at my car. Dean gave me a new UTV Inc. Skid plate, new Rhino brand axles, and ball joints, which I installed to repair the XP, which is better than I thought. Overall my experience was negative and I would not recommend Gravity motorsports to anyone I know. The X-Braced cage design I believe is a good for strength, but it is completely negated by the stock B-Pillar being re-used and seam welded to the Gravity cage half way up B-Pillar, and re-use of stock bungs. If you decide to use or buy from Gravity, Good Luck!

Here are some pics of the issues, the one of the cage is not mine but I did check and mine is the same…
