Back-In Truck Bed Loading

Hey Guys, this is my first post here but hopefully only the first of many! Really like the discussion on here. :icon_cool:

I just bought a snow plow a few months ago. Got a decent driveway, 3 car widths plus some more with a 5 foot retaining wall on one side. Too big for another winter with the snow blower, but not long enough for a plow on my truck to be practical.

Had the dealer install the mount plate and plow, and they loaded it for me when they were done. The only way it would fit my 6 foot truck bed, was to back it in and set the plow on the open tailgate.

Got me thinking. Do any of you guys load your atv (quad) by backing it up the ramps?

I tried it a couple times now, it is a bit more uncomfortable but I think I actually prefer it and am feeling more confident about it each time. I have to back over my wheel well humps, and now my atv receiver hitch hits my truck bed before anything could hit my window, pretty nice. Able to remove my "window safety" 6×6’s from my truck for forward loading now.

I saw the dealer do this to another quad without a plow. Is backing in beneficial in some way?

Thanks Guys!
