Ok so I’ve had my 2011 outlander 650 since almost day 1 of its life, had a tire that measured out to be about 27" on it and am very hard on it. So I bought super atv arched a-arms (JUNK DO NOT RECOMMEND), 2" super atv lift, also bought some moto mtc tires that measure out to about 29 and did all this at the same time. I put 9/10 of a mile on it with new stuff and came out of a tall creek and snapped RF axle. Only way out was to go back across snapped RR axle crossing. Thought well 500 miles of alot of abuse and no problems I was ok with it, so they probably had it coming. Bought 2 new oem axles broke again about the same scenario. Bought all 4 new ones off eBay through American cv got about 3 hours out of those today and now RR again and LF are broken.
So my question for the group is will gorillas be up to the task, does the lift need to come off and go back to a 27, is there a better lift I should use, or any other suggestions are appreciated. Also I rode the same way and places with the 27s. I completely understand hard riding breaks stuff and I’ll fix whatever I break knowing it’s generally abuse but there’s plenty of guys that I ride with that do the same things on the same or bigger tires that go all year or 2 without a single problem one rides a 1000 with bigger tires and hasn’t had 1 problem yet. Here’s some pics of the outty
