Hi everyone, new to the Polaris family with a 2004 Polaris sportsman 500 ATP.
I just bought this off a guy who told me it all worked with the exception of needing new brakes. And after a test drive it appeared that the awd was working. Now that I’ve had it home for a few days and driven it around, I’m finding that even in awd the rear end would kick out a lot around corners and the front wouldn’t pull very well in AWD. So I’ve done some investigating and found that while raised up on jack stands and running, only the rear wheels and right front wheel would engage in AWD and turf :wtf: . The left front just spins freely with no resistance. I’ve been reading over other threads on similar issues, with only one front wheel engaging and it seems a common issue is a coil in the hub but my model doesn’t seem to use any coil system in the hub.

Anybody have any suggestions before I start tearing it apart?
