400ex jetting

I know there’s a billion threads on jetting but I kind of have a unique situation. I jetted my carb for my 426 bore, well I recently switched to a std 85mm bore, best decision ever runs awesome now. But anyways I have a 170 DYNOJET in the main jet and a std 38 pilot ket( I’m irdering a 42, heard great things about it). The air/fuel screw is 3 1/2 turns out. When I hit the throttle really quick, just like a blip it doesn’t respond it just kinda bogs a little. Any suggestions. I have a whole dynojet assortment so any sizes you think are good please tell me.

400ex oil

Should I use 10-40 or 20-50. I have an aftermarket cam and some people say run 20-50 with those. I’m in New England so it is 80 degrees domedays and 65 the next day. Also I want to use conventional, and any brands that are good?

Honda 400ex ring compress

Anyone have any tricks on compressing the rings into the cylinder. I tried using aluminum flashing but it didn’t work, cracked the sleeve. When I get the new one, is there a trick to this. I bought a 4in ting compressor but I don’t see had I would be able to use it. I bent the oil rings a couple times doing this because of the taper at the end of the sleeve. Also it’s a stock 85mm bore.
