Creative Winching
Well got stuck in one of the sandpits in the hunting club. There was no bottom in all of that soft sand so I stopped before I dug a hole to china. My dad tried to back down into the hole I had just created to retrieve me with the tiger tail but got stuck before he was all the way in! Nearest tree was to the right and slightly behind me so we had to run the winch line over the front bumper and under the rack to pull the front end up. Before we started Winching the front right headlight and middle pod was under water. Got the front end up but still couldn’t move without digging down so we had to get into the advanced winching. Since the RZR was in between me and the tree we ran the winch line through the roll cage to pull the grizz to the right and closer to hard ground. Then we ran the winch in front of the RZRs tires to pull the grizz out of the hole. Then pulled the RZR out. The whole time we were winching the tree was gradually being pulled over but held enough to get me out. Ended up with sand in my pockets and shoes! At times we were chest high in water pushing on the bike due to sinking in the soft sand. Fun day. Sorry for so few and low quality pics. You can see the tree and the RZR in one of the pics.

Looking for some people to ride with in/around West TN
Hey everybody! Just picked up a 2013 sportsman 500 to mainly use for hunting but am wanting to do some trail riding with it also. I have a general knowledge about most of the places around here (haven’t ridden them yet though) but looking for some people to ride with. I grew up in East TN so used to riding Windrock mainly, but living in Memphis right now for grad school. Don’t care to drive a couple hours either so if anybody needs an extra riding partner let me know!
2014 570 voltage regulator
Hey
So yet another stupid repair needed on my 570. My voltage regulator has gone shot and its $300 to replace from polaris. I can’t find any specific aftermarket replacement other than the 570 ace. Can someone please tell me if that will fit/work? It’s $80 so it’s a huge savings. I’ve been so fed up with polaris already. 1200 miles on the machine and its cost more in repairs than my previous quad which had no repairs….
Thx

1988 TRX350D top end rebuild not going well…
I find out today that the bike already has a Wiseco 10.25:1 piston in it. This makes my compression test of 123 psi even worse than I originally thought. I lapped the valves and rebuilt the head. When I start on the cylinder hone then ring gaps I found that they were not good and needed work (build halted). I don’t have the best micrometers to measure the bore. My best measurements of the bore have it at around 81.4mm at the top. I feel that this piston is serviceable and if someone on the boards wants it, I will send it or trade it. It is my desire to go back to stock compression ratio and I likely need to have the bore cut to fit the piston I find or buy for it. If someone has an 81.5 mm or 82.0 stock piston, I would be happy to trade this Wiseco piston for it.
I can email or text a picture of the Wiseco piston if you PM me. I can also mic the unit as well. The part number is 4393M08150. The piston pin checks out according to service limits and I will keep the piston pin. There was very little carbon build up on the top of the piston (I cleaned it off).
I am still looking for a picture hosting site that works easily and I have yet to find a good one.

rear brake
rear brake seems to be the worst about water caused problems. sticking, mostly. anybody got a better way yet, to prevent this problem? why is back brake the worst? lack of gasket material, maybe liquid Teflon(it drys)?some form of rtv? Just a thought. //Ed
98 Magnum 425 winch contactor location
I was curious if anyone had info on the factory winch mounting and wiring specifically for the contactor. I was given a warn winch so I thought I would mount it to the beast. Thanks.
