New Member from Kalamazoo, Michigan, and have a question

First off, hello from sunny Kalamazoo, MI.

I just purchased a 2015 Sportsman 570 with 430 miles(no eps), and sold my smoking 2002 Sportsman 500HO (7,400 miles hard miles ). I really love the new 570, but have not had the chance to ride much, yet. I have putted around the yard some and have never had the fan kick on. I am not sure if my cooling fan is working ( the overheating light has not come on). Probably just being paranoid. I have heard of some 570 with fan issues. My questions is. How long before my cooling fan should kick on at idle on a 75 degree day? I have let mine idle for 4-5 min with noting. My 500HO would run the fan just after a couple of min.
Thoughts?

Update on recon

I have came to this, I check the coil and ground with an ohmmeter and I changed the negative terminal. I got no spark, so tomorrow I am going to take off the carb, recoil starter, regular starter, alternator and get to the stator and replace it. If you think of anything else I need to take off or test that could help please let me know.

My Powermax ATV Caught fire and BURNED!!!!!

Hello everyone,

The main reason for me joining this forum is to warn as many people as possible about Powermax Atvs. I know this is an Honda Forum but you maybe sharing your trails and other ATV riding areas with Powermax ATV’s.

Do you own a Powermax Atv ? Or Do you know someone who owns a Powermax ATV ?

Powermax Atv’s are now being monitored by Transport Canada for serious electrical problems, gas leaks, trottle sticking and other serious problems like these. They are also being monitered by Rick Noseworthy, The Newfoundland director for the all terrain vehicle council of Canada as well as Vice President of the Trailways council.

This was a brand new 2013 700 Powermax Atv was purchased in Gander, Newfoundland and it had serious problems such has the trottle sticking , gas leaks and electrical problems from just 55 km to approximately 900 km. It caught fire and burned.

If there are more Powermax Atvs being used on our trails and forest it is not just the owners of Powermax Atvs that maybe in danger but you and your family could be seriously hurt or killed if there are more Powermax ATVs with these serious problems being used.

I have found other Powermax Customers that have had serious problems with their Powermax ATV.

If you would like to report a Powermax Atv to Transport Canada please let me know and let me know and I will help you do that for free
