OK so I know the motor is the same for the 570, does that mean the exhaust is the same too? I am looking at doing the ECM upgrade at some point but for now I want new exhaust and need it coated. Who makes one for this bike? I see stuff out there for the 570 but not the 450? I’m wondering if diameter of tube is the same as is bolt mounting surface. Why an I finding so little aftermarket support for the 450?
I just bought a 2016 850 sportsman SP and went on a 2 week riding trip. I have no gas gauge, no power steering and it’s very difficult to shift. It skips neutral when shifting unless it’s not running. It gets extremely hot on the right side it is burning my leg. It has gotten so hot the plastic on the side has bubbled and melted. I called the dealer during my trip and returned the machine as soon as I got back from my trip. They are going to let me know what they find out, It’s been a week and I have not heard anything yet. Has any body had these kind of problems?
partzilla does not show a front fender in adventure green available for a 1998 trx300, but they do show beige so I am guessing green is discontinued? They do show a 1996-1997 adventure green front fender available. Does anyone know the difference between the 96-97 and 98-2000 front fender?
I have a 1999 400 Xplorer 4×4 and I will be sending the jug off to have a new Wiseco piston fitted. My question is: can I build the motor completely on the bench and then install it with the starter attached?
And then get it tuned by Ryan at RWS? Well, because its awesome. Thats why.
This is my humble 450. I rode it around 35 miles before sending my ECU off. It got good and muddy. I had lots of fun with it stock. It was plenty of power, but I just wanted more.
Finally got to put another 20 miles after the tune and figured I’d give my impression.
Well, its awesome. Thats the best word for it. I haven’t driven a 570 so its hard to compare but compared to my old Honda Rancher its incredible. Compared to stock its actually a lot smoother. The clutch engagement doesn’t seem as on/off as it did from factory.. It also seems to run a bit smoother too. I’m not sure if its the fact that the torque limiter is removed or that the throttle will go 100% but it revs so much harder and faster. It felt neutered before. A bunch of torque down low, but then the power petered out. Now its like that the whole way through the rev range. Lowering the fan switch temp is great! The machine stays much cooler now which was so much nicer on my leg. Its really night and day difference and was money well spent. 10/10 would recommend.
I’m happy to answer any questions if there’s people out there wondering if they should do it.
But! my first ‘problem’ is the clutch box is filling with water. I’ve read tons of 570 reviews saying that its the seal behind it and to take it off and silicone it. I’m not even mad. I drove it through water. Going to do a clutch kit and tires in the next month or 2 and I’ll fix it then. Until then this is where you’ll find me….
Hey guys I’m new to the honda atv world but I picked up a 400 fourtrax AT and a set of what i beleve are rincon disc brakes for it . The only problem im having is the lower ball joint . Every thing bolts on but the lower ball joint from the rincon has a larger stem then the 400 control arm will accept. The 400 ball joint is smaller where it presses into the knuckle . Anyone done this swap before and know a ball joint that solves the problem ?? Thanks for any input
I have a 2012 outlander that I bought and I just noticed that the bike have two problems one of the problems is that both black and gray key are low performance keys and the second problem is this…
