Can’t get electric start to work on my ’05 predator 50

Hello all, I’m new here and I’m having issues with the electric start on my daughter ’05 predator 50. I’ve done extensive testing of the wires related to the starting system ignition system and electric start with multimeter and test light. I’m getting power and ground on everything from the start button all the way down to the plug for the selonoid. I’ve tested the selonoid to make sure it works and it does, i even bought a new one on the off chance it was bad. I’ve even jumped the starter and the starter works fine. But, when I plug the selonoid in and try to start it using the electric start absolutely nothing happens. No selonoid clicking, no starter clicking nothing! I’m absolutely baffled. Every test I ran shows no reason that it should not trip the selonoid and start the machine. Also, I have a brand new battery in it. Please help so I don’t have to take it to a shop and pay the $100/hr labor rate.

CVTech clutch for Renegade 570 xxc

Hello I would like to upgrade primary clutch on my Renegade 570 xxc to CVTech TrailBloc Primary Clutch. The problem is that I can not find any directly for the 570 engine. There are available only those for the 500 Renegade 🙁 like here:

CVTech TrailBloc Primary Clutch (Pre-Calibrated), Can-Am Outlander/Renegade 500 – ATV Tires Canada

The questions are …

1) Will it work perfectly even with the 570 model? Does anybody have some experience with it here? Will it need some tuning for the 570 or it will work out of the box?

2) Does it work with the factory secondary well? Or are here some recommended upgrades?

3) I have factory tires. Would I need to do some tuning of the clutches?

Thank you for any help and answers. This is my first Can-am so I am learning :-).

Air filter ????

My 300 rebuild has no air filter, well, it had one, but it’s toast.

I’m looking for suggestions on what to replace it with.

Is OEM the way to go or a aftermarket one?

Looks like the OEM requires a inner piece that’s $35-50 plus the outer filter.

Is there something as good?

Thanks

Water in clutch problem

I’ve been having problems recently with water getting in the clutch housing. No I’m not swamping the thing. Seems to be whenever I go through any water that’s above the clutch housing I get water in it. When I first took it apart it seemed like there was some good size gaps between the two housing pieces. But all the bolts were tight so I figured maybe it was the seal. But the seal looks fine, I’m not sure what to do now. Was considering just putting some RTV sealant around it and screwing it back together… Any help would be great.

Hard shifting

I have a 2007 650 Outlander Max. Often times when I try to shift, and it doesn’t matter to which gear, it is very hard to move the lever. I play with it, starting and stopping the engine, etc. until it moves more smoothly because I’m reluctant to use the force it would take to use pressure. If you ever parked an automatic transmission car on a steep hill witnout using the parking brake, that’s what it’s like. Pushing the ATV back and forth doesn’t do any thing.

I searched this topic and found numerous threads that said linkage wasn’t a likely culprit but that gearbox oil and a bearing might be. Am I having the same hard shifting issue as those guys? It doesn’t happen all the time but it is frequent and I worry about breaking something.
