I am supose to buy 2006 honda 350 fourtrax es cheap!!! The problem is I can start the bike and it will idle fine but when I try to put it in gear it shuts down no warning lights come on. how ever when i looked at the bike I notice at first the oil temp sensor wire was broke off right where you plug it in the sensor. So my question is if the sensor is bad or gone could it cause this problem. I also know before the ower tried to fix the bike it only use to run for 15 mins then shut down and he would have to wait for it to cool so could it be as simple as a oil sensor or a bad wire going to it ?
I am new to ATV’s having bought one a month ago. I use it for chores around my property on beautiful Lake Bruin located between Vicksburg and Natchez on the Louisiana side of the Mississippi. There is a paucity of information concerning maintenance and repair that I hope to remedy by joining this site.
The nearest dealer is 40 miles away so I need to become familiar with maintenance and repairs and am looking for some help from the old hands.
I have a trx420 that’s acting up. Sometimes when I start it it fires right other times is cranks about 4 times and act like it does not have power to start then it will start. The battery is only a couple years old so I really don’t know what’s going on.
Hey guys, I have a 2009 Polaris sportsman 400 ho. I installed a 2500 lb superwinch three years ago. Three months ago, my original contractor became inoperable. I replaced it with the superwinch upgrade. This contractor is three times the size. Anyways, I noticed that if I press the in or out switch rep easily for half a second, it stops working. When I rev up the bike, it works again. Could this be the contractor getting too hot because I’m activation the rocker switch with short burts? Would a contractor have thermal protection? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
After reading the horror stories of the front diff exploding on brand new Sportsman XP 1000s I immediately ordered a aftermarket billet pinion cover from HD ATV GEAR. I Just completed the install of it and now I can sleep easier!!
It took me about 3 hours to do. My cover went right on without having to shim the Diff.
I used the following to do the install:
*$19 Pneumatic Palm Nailer from Harbor Freight****Two seconds to knock roll pen out with 1/4 Punch in the Palm Nailer. Worked much better than using a hammer.**** *1/4 Round punch to knock out roll pen using the Palm Nailer *T30 Hex for screws on removal of old cover *5/32 Hex for screws on install of new cover *Pure Polaris "DEMAND DRIVE PLUS" Diff fluid and Squeeze Pump. *COLD BEERS!
Here are some pictures of the install.

But I don’t know what model of tatou tracks these are every time I look them up its always 4s the tracks already bolt up to my hubs and the front brackets are easily fabricated to fit my front lower control arm back is a slightly different story. So to put it short I’m looking to find out what model these are so I can buy a conversion kit
