Old member…back again
It’s been a long long time since I’ve been here. Had a 2012 sportsman 500 HO when I first joined. Sold it and got a ranger 570 midsize and now I’m into one of the new Kawasaki mule ProFX’s. It’s that time again and I’m looking to possibly sell my mule and go back to a sportsman. Not sure what model though. Maybe you guys can help me out
Primary use will be around my property in central Texas. Hard packed dirt roads mostly with some tight trails. The only mud I will see is when we get a good rain. And the occasional 50+ mph run down county roads
So I’m looking at 2 models as of right now. Either the 17 sportsman 570. Which I believe is an exact copy of my old 2012 500 except the obvious fuel injected 570 motor? Correct me if I’m wrong. Or the 2017 sportsman 850. Which looks completely redesigned.
Hopefully you guys can give me some input. Thanks, Justin
hey

500 ho take off revs
Sold my 98 and picked up an 04. It seems like the clutch engages a bit later than my 98 did. Bike has about 1100 miles on it. Came with a plow that looks like it was used quite a bit. Stock tires. Should i be looking at a clutch kit?
thanks
How Can Manual Revisions Be Posted
Hey all
I have a copy of Revision 1 for the 86-89 TRX350 manual and instructions for installing the Speedo and hour meters for this rig. Is this something I can request be posted in the service manual folder? I have them in pdf
Thanks

shim size
Hello,
Just a quick question. I ordered some shims from e-bay. The outside diameter of the shims are 28mm. From everything I’ve read they should be 31-36mm. Will the shims I got measuring 28mm work? Thanks
