First time on site. I have a 1986 Fourtrax 350 And this is a great site.
I thought I come on this column instead of the tire column as I see i might get a better response .
Anyways as we all know these quads come stock with 24x9x11
Finding used tires for a 11 inch rim is nil.
Finding used tires for a 12 inch rim are in the pages on kijji
I found 4 new take off tires on rims that were on a yamaha rino 25x8x12
I thing going narrow is better as i will get less mud fling past the fenders.
Hight will only be 1/2" that no big deal.
But will these rims fit my 86 Honda ?
Anyone try this tire size.
Also found many 25x8x12fronts and 25x10x12 rear Anyone try this set up on a 86 fourtrax 350
Thanks
I just got back from a hunting trip up north where we used our quads everyday. It was hovering around freezing every day and snowed a fair bit. On the 4th day i had my shifter acting funny. I was very hard to shift and it wouldn’t line up so that the shifter would drop into the slot for each gear. I had it pop out of gear twice in a row while in H. We did a river crossing numerous times so i thought i might have froze something up. Once we got back home everything seems normal. Anyone have this happen?
A buddy of mine has a 2012 foreman ms with efi. His starter went south and he has been using the pull cord fine, no issue. He just installed a new starter, and now has no power to anything, no display, nothing. He did get a green neutral light for a split second but that was it. Battery and fuses under seat are good. Any obvious things to check?
Thinking about getting me a High Lifter 1000. My dealer has both a 2016 and 2017. Is there any difference besides the color? I personally like the Blue better, ha. The 2016 is around $2,000 cheaper.
Hi all, new to the forum. i recently bought a 1998 polaris sportsman 500. the head gasket was gone, i had the head and cylinder resurfaced by a machine shop as the cylinder head was warped. i bought new base gasket and cylinder gasket. the camshaft turned freely and moved sided to side prior to disassembly. i have the polaris shop manual, and followed the assembly instructions as stated exactly. i left the cam and rocker assembly assembled on the head before installation. after reassembly the cam was bar tight, woud not rotate nor move side to side. called a friend who ownns an atv/motorcycle repair business and he had never heard of this before. so i untorqued the head bolts in stages as it says to do, and after the 1st 180 degree loosening turn the cam would free up again…..im at a loss… cant figure it out, so i started over from beginning nd followed torquing procedure again, and sure enough cam bound up again… has anyone ever encountered this before? i checked both head and cylinder surfaces with straight edge and feelers and both are perfectly flat, i cant even find this issue on google anywhere lol.. please help
thanks in advance
