Looking to purchase – need feedback

Ok – so I’m seeing a lot of trouble threads on here about the new 570’s. I’m a few days away from going into the dealer to purchase a 16 570 Non-eps. My dad has a 2011 550XP that has been awesome, no issues whatsoever. Was kinda hoping the 570 would be along the same lines but it doesn’t seem like it… any input??

Is this rod knock?

Greetings,

Just bought a Grizzly 700 (with 815 stroker kit installed).

There is an engine knock that i can’t identify. I pulled the clutch and started it and it is still there. It’s staring to look like it might be a rod knock. I wanted to get a second or third opinion before I started tearing the engine apart.

Here is a little background on the atv. It does smoke, burns oil. It was apparently in some pretty deep mud/water. The power steering unit was full of mud (had to be replaced). It has performance cams, polished head, ports, etc. It has a dynojet commander and autotune on it. It had radiator relocated and snorkels. I put the radiator back and removed the snorkels.

Here is a link to the video of it running:

add this to youtube link and you can see the video.

any help would be greatly appreciated.

2007 outlander 650 wont turn over

I have been trying to help an elderly friend of mine with his outlander. When he goes to start the wheeler you can hear fuel pump kick in and dash says hello. When the starter button is pushed you hear a click in the starter relay and then the fuel pump primes back up, the starter does not engage. We changed the starter relay and that did not fix it. I have tested the relay and when he hits the start button i get 12 volts on the starter side for a split second. I have also tested power to the starter and it gets 12 volts for a split second too, just like relay. The stater does not even attempt to spin, just re primes the fuel pump.

I am thinking the starter is bad, but wanted to get a second opinion as this is the first can am i have worked on.
