I am looking into getting new rubber. The grounds I ride are as follows:
1)Trails mainly gravely-hardpack 88%
2)mud, mainly muddy trails no real mud-holes 10%
3)soft root infested extreme hill climbs with lots of dead leaves making it slippery (if people saw these hills they would call us NUTS) 5%
4)rocky +- 2%
5)black top (between established trails) 5%
My problem is the tires I like are either expensive or not made! I like Terra Crosses but are only 26"ers. I would prefer 27s or 28s by 10 r12. I also really like Pitbull Growlers but they are really expensive! I guess I could settle for 26.5x9r12 and 26.5x11r12 (if I came into money I’d get these) I also like Blackwater Evo’s they come in 27s or 28s always a 12" rim cause I believe a tire is part of my suspension, although they too are expensive!!
If you can PLEASE suggest a tire (Been searching what seem like forever) bear in mind I have had Bighorns and Powergrips in the past, they wore well but I found once the square edges wore off the grips you lost ALOT of traction!! So no Bighorns for this guy!

I purchased 2 sets of 26×9-14 and 26×11-14 tires that I never used.
Still new. They brand is K9 but they look just like Maxxis Bighorn but much cheaper price. They are 6 ply.
I would sell them for $80 each shipped to you.
Call me if your interested.

Hi all, my boss has caught the ‘ATV Itch’, after seeing me tinkering with mine everyday he’s decided he would like one too!
His budget stretches further than mine so he’s looking at more modern machines, in particular the 420, 450 & 500cc Hondas.
As we all know, Honda make great ATV’s, my question is which one is the best?
By best I mean, a good reliable all-rounder.
My boss is not mechanically minded whatsoever so I’d like to advise him to get something that will be pretty much a ‘hop on and ride’ ATV.
My knowledge with the above mentioned ATV’s is limited as I’m yet to work on one so what would you guys advise? Are some better than others? Should my boss avoid any of the ATV’s mentioned?
He’ll be using it for general farm work, feeding, towing a small trailer etc, shooting & hunting, and some light off-roading/mudding. He won’t be interested in mods either, he’s more of a keep it clean and polish it kind of guy!
Looking forward to hearing your responses on this one as everybody has different opinions of different machines.
Looking for a good quality, fairly inexpensive clutch kit for my 03 Kodiak 450 ! I am running 27s and would like more low end to spin through the mud . Any advice from Kodiak owners ? The EFI kit looks nice , anybody have it on their 450?

I’ve got an 06 that won’t run under half throttle. Rebuilt top end. Swapped carb, cps, cdi, coil. Has spark, fuel and compression. I’m stumped.
I have another post "stuck decompressor"
