Relays identification

Hello,

I been working on my 2011 big bear 400 4wd function. From the 501 parts website they talked about two black relays and a white one that is under the seat area. But next to the two black and one white relay there is another black relay and a blue one. Does anyone know what they control.

No rear brakes !!! (2013 grizzly 700 eps)

Hey guys im new here and could use some help. I was out riding this weekend and near the end of our ride at the new lost trails in Pa I lost the rear brakes on my 2013 grizzly 700 eps has 730 miles on it. Fluid is low and the lever pulls right in extremely easy none of the brake lines looked damage and the pads still have life think the master cylinder went bad or any other ideas. Thank you all for any help. With low fluid i should have some brakes s right ?

New Guy on the block.

98 GRIZZLY WON’T START

Okay I am brand new to the forum. Let me start with how I got here. I live out in the counrty in upstate new york with a driveway of 350′ in which the grizzly has handled in the winter months no problem. How did I get the grizzly.Well after looking locally I found it in the classifieds. Siiting in someones back yard 4-5" in the ground no papers, air box full of water, but only 150 hours on her. That was four years ago. Anyway cleaned carb, full srvice done and she went off and has not stopped not even a little.Has even started in low temps no choke all the time. Well it is winter now and a week ago I went out to start her to plow and it would turn over and just kinda pop almost wanting to.so I removed carb cleaned it out through in new ngk and she went right off again like a bear.tried it couple nights in a row just to keep checking and no problems. I did however notice prior to first carb removal some gas on case. So went out couple days ago and same thing gas on case which had been dry. After looking closer carb is not seated all the way forward in boot so I am thinking gas was coming down front boot and that was the leak.so when I did this it comes out of rear boot at least 1/8" gap. I need this machine as it does what we need and more so hopefully you guys can help. I know it is a small problem just want to diagnose correctly and no rabbit trails they can be costly. so here are my questions.
1. If the carb is not fully in boots will it not run and just pop like it wants to?
2. I am correct in thinking that is my leak, fuel running out of front boot down carb to cases?
3. Do the boots get dried over time and get shorter. It is 19 years old all original.
4. Where do I go from here? new boots or just one?
thanks for any help with the beast.

Fun Saturday

Hey guys and girls,

First time I took the Grizzly out to a nearby ATV park. I must say that it was quite different (mud/rut) than what I’m used to. Definitely had to take all of the skid plates off and get the mud out of them. I enjoyed it for $20 but thought the trails could of been a little bit better shape. Luckily, the skid plates held up and helped protect the undercarriage. I tried to always stay on the highest ground but sometime the mud was so soft it threw you into the ruts. Overall, I had a great time with some buddies of mine and glad to get a 20 mile run in on the Grizzly. Here are a few pictures and videos!

My first hill climb I got some air because I wasn’t expecting it to have a small ditch right at the top. Then we did a small little mud crossing but had some high water (definitely the highest I’ve gone so far; took forever to get the mud off of my radiator with light water pressure). The rest of the video is pretty basic trails but hope you enjoy.

Only downside is that I cleaned it off yesterday with a warm pressure washer and was very careful where I used the "pressure" mostly I just hit the plastic, wheels, and tires with high pressure to get all the mud off. So I took it outside again today to take the skid plates off and do a little bit more of a clean clean and now when I start it up, smokes comes out of the battery area and also on the lower left side near my foot. I’m going to let it dry over night and fire it up again tomorrow to see if it was just because it was cold and wet. Hopefully, it’s nothing major.

diagnostic mode problems

2014 grizzly 700 will not go into diagnostic mode. I have went through the procedure as follows. Turn key and kill switch off, disconnect fuel pump, hold the select and reset button, turn key on and wait. I’ve done all this several times and it will not go to DM. Is there something I’m doing wrong? Thanks in advance Justin

Cyclops led bulb

Changed my handlebar light, had a cyclops 3800 lumen led bulb laying around as,a spare for my bike and decided to try it, took the light off the quad, the cyclops is a H4 style with removable adapters, took the adapter off and had to grind down the diameter of the mounting area to fit into the socket, got it to fit pretty good then had to drill a couple holes though the plastic and metal on the socket hole on the housing and put a couple short screws in to lock against the led on the plastic housing around the led but don’t screw into the housing then had to cut the short harness off that plugs into the bullet connectors to and add two female spades to connect to the males on the H4 plug from the led wired it to be on hi beam since it is a hi-lo beam led, did not take any pics of the install yet as I want to see how it holds up, not sure about how I have it secured the plastic in the light housing is brittle where I put the lock screws but here is a picture of the bulb installed and one with it on in the shop

Passenger footpegs

So I’m tired of getting my twig and berries smashed every time I go down a hill and My fiancĂ© has nothing to hold her back.

She rides with me quite a few times throughout the year but not nearly enough to mount anything permanent. Most of the riding is technical with lots of hills and when going down the hills she slides into me which in return smashes me to the front of the quad.

Anyone have some great ideas? My dad has the "fender guards/footpegs" that fold up and I can’t stand them. Seems like they are always in the way when she is not on. Please share anything either homemade or store bought! Thanks!
